I did not like having to pay a $70 resort fee. There is nothing resort about this property so just ditch the fee and advertise the real room rate. There were so many homeless people hanging around the property so we parked the card with the hotel valet rather than much cheaper options and that added another $110. They did not even have free coffee in the lobby so I had to pay for coffee at the hotel coffee shop. The room was nice but we seriously could not figure out the lights so that was annoying. The best thing this room had going for it was the big comfortable bed, that was a good thing because I was nervous to be outside in the area after dark.

Hotel and staff were great. Our first room had a window with a draft facing traffic so it was noisy but the friendly front desk staff was quick to accommodate and give us a different room.

The hotel is lovely, the area is a little rough. Cleaning is done on demand, so it won’t just be done. There was also an additional nightly fee we weren’t aware of. But inside the hotel is super cool and funky, friendly staff.

Hotel was gorgeous! Hotel staff were welcoming, helpful, and amenable. All except one lady who worked on reception (slightly older and larger build than other staff members) who was so rude and dismissive. We experienced her foul mood twice during our three night stay. Handwash (Blank product) is to die for! Unsafe area resulting in door staff being required on hotel front and on almost all other public facilities in the area. We were approached by homeless drug users several times and some were rather aggressive meaning we had to walk very quickly back to the safety of the hotel. Bed was very comfy. Radio is a lovely addition. Only given one tea bag and coffee each for a three night stay. Requested refills three times through WhatsApp (as directed), but ignored. Asked at reception as were given another one each!! Supplied our own for the final day...

Horrible area- staff was clueless. Valet is only until 11pm, and then you’re on your own for parking in a terrible area. Asked 3x for clean mugs and additional towels and never arrived. I’ve never been so disappointed in a hotel

The hotel was nice, including the room and restaurants, but it was impossible to take a shower without getting the entire bathroom floor soaking wet. After our first night our towels were soaked from mopping up the floors, so I put out the “Tidy Time” tag on the door to request new towels/sheets but when we got back later that night, no one had come to the room. A little irritating from a 4-star hotel that the cleaning staff didn’t even come to the room. Otherwise, a good location, although there’s a lot of sketchy people outside at night, and a good hotel.

I did not feel safe as a solo traveller, walking around the neighbourhood alone. But you quickly exit the area within several blocks to be in a safer environment. Had trouble with no heat in the room, and the deadbolt not latching, but was moved into a better room. Service was friendly and helpful. I requested the “little breakfast”, which turned out to be instant oatmeal, orange juice and an orange. I had read it was to be overnight oats, so I guess the offering has changed. Would have been nice to have more clarity as to what was being offered. Overall, it was a pleasant enough stay, However, Probably wouldn’t stay again due to the state of the neighbourhood.

The hotel is beautiful and the staff and service is excellent. I do think the rooms could use more of a deep clean, specially in the bathroom area. Our tub had yellow film right below where the shampoo and conditioner hang. The glasses by the mirror were covered in dust and the floor did not look swept. In the bedroom areas the baskets next to the bed were stain from daily use. Thank you.

People were so noisy on the street and driving by, and the homeless were terrifying. They felt really dangerous. Parking was rough and valet was expensive, but the trouble with parking was so worth it. Very cool place really great staff.

Hotel is very pretty. There is no room service available and some good options for food near by. Hotel coffee shop was closed during stay Friday & Sat. Tequila bar on top was packed on a Sat. Would have liked to know there was no room service available prior to booking. Desk said they are having technical difficulty taking it off site…Homelessness is very present in this area. Front desk staff were very nice and accommodating.

So… very…Almost
Super classy. Well decorated. It very much reminds me of the hotel in the show Altered Carbon. Super secure. I tried to go to the speakeasy. It seemed like exactly what I wanted. The guy at the door decided that I was not supposed to be there. Even though I had been sent over by the front desk. Yebin assured me that there was no reason for him to block me like that. Yebin tried to be so helpful and gave me a free drink, but they treated me like I was a bum and refused to honor it. I bought a drink anyway. Then I went upstairs to get dinner. Nice place, great food. They also didn’t honor my free drink. Dinner was good. I cannot understand why, when I’m spending 100$ a night, I’m treated like I don’t belong there. It’s almost perfect. Rooms were well done imo. Perfect use of the space. The staff, with the exception of Yebin and the valets, needs to learn how to treat hotel guests. It’s almost fantastic

Awesome location if you’re seeing anyone at the Roseland Theater. Pretty cool to snag voodoo doughnuts kitty corner to the hotel. That hotel and rooms were amazing as well was the rooftop bar/restaurant!

Liked: Modern, upscale decor, quirky-cool touches like old-fashioned working radio in the room, mod light fixtures. Did not like: rude staff, bad, super-salty (yet expensive) food, the worst Manhattan ever (bartender said,”we’re out of cherries” plunked the drink down and turned her back). Was told upon arrival there was live music in the main floor bar, no mention of tickets. When we arrived to check it out, they told us we needed tickets, and the person at the door did not have tickets. Stuff like that.

I loved the look and feel, it was very cozy, unique, and interesting. All the staff were kind, friendly, and helpful. I also like the hotel company’s intentionality toward sustainability and community support. I would definitely stay again. I only wish parking wasn’t so expensive.

Loved the hotel! Very cute room. The area is pretty sketchy though, felt kind of forced to Valet which was $52 a day extra plus tips.

Not the best Hoxton in the whole worldwide chain. The interior design isn't bad, but the detailing looks a bit fake. Terrible area around the hotel overcrowded by homeless people.

The biggest issue is the room itself. A standard room of a 130 square feet with a view on a wall. A room of one bed and a restroom, that is it. I think this is the worst experience of staying in hotels I ever had in my entire life. One night costs ~220$ for 2 people 50 parking a night. I don’t get what’s the price for?? Don’t ever come here…

I spent one night at the Hoxton andy main consideration was its location, which was perfect for me. I was pleasantly surprised to find a cool, clean hotel with super friendly staff. Rooms are ample size, clean, retro-modern.
