"If you have a car, and have the good fortune to be traveling in the Douro Valley, this place is not to be missed. It is a bit hard to get to, but well worth the effort. "The property is a luxury accommodation on an estate property three blocks from gorgeous beaches, managed by experts. A car is helpful for visiting Porto but we had a car and used FreeNow and Uber instead because they were cheaper than Porto parking. Everything in the apartment is as advertised and more."

"This estate home feels like you are worlds away from everything with spectacular river views. Yet, you are literally minutes from all the sights in Porto. Our hosts, Elsa and Philipe, were wonderful. They provided a welcome bottle of Port, along with tasty pastel de natas (look it up if you don't know what they are). "The pictures on Expedia and their website do not do justice to this place. It is a very impressive working winery and the rooms are well appointed. Breakfast and dinner in the restaurant were excellent though service was mixed when it was busy. "My wife and I chose this location for an evening stay after driving through the Duoro valley from Marvao. It was conveniently located, easy to find, clean and the check-in and hospitality were very good. Unfortunately we arrived fairly late, the weather didn't cooperate, and we stayed on a Monday evening so many of the local attractions and restaurants were not open. We did take a long walk through Lamego and it was a pretty, albeit mostly empty town. "
