“Unfriendly in Thailand”

Hotel failed from the start - The car service I arranged with the hotel was not at airport when I arrived. Friendly people at airport with other car services called and dirver showed up after twenty minutes. Arrived at hotel and the front desk staff did not welcome me - only unfriendly people that I came across in Thailand. My room was next to the elevator with a view of a wall - when I asked to change they looked at me like I was crazy. The airconditioning takes hours to cool the room. Pay a little more and stay elsewhere. I moved to Le Meridien Hotel.

“ideal for families with young children”

off season was great in karon beach easy to get arround everything was available at the doorstep and good value ice family tours were very very good next to the hotel

“phuket paradise”

Rooms were a bit dated, airconditioning a bit loud and hard to find the correct temperature initally. The whole resort was exceptionally clean. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Pools fantastic. Plenty of space and deck chairs. Beautifully maintained gardens - so tranquil !!!!!!!

Area recommendations

This resort is at Karon Beach, a quiter area, but not expensive, perfect for families.

Getting there

Our package included direct flights from Brisbane to Phuket, with V Australia. We had never flown with this airline before. The flight was fabulous, quiet, every seat had its own entertainment. Food was good too. We got the resort to organize transfers, a very comfortable way of getting to the resort. .

Getting around

We were able to walk to restarants and shops in the evenings. For day time travel we used either, taxi, tuk tuk's or the local bus was easily available too.

Dining

We weren't very careful with eating salad and fruit or ice. None of us had any trouble with our tummies. Resort provided bottled water each day. To buy bottled water is very cheap.

Family-friendly activities

Dino's park for putt putt golf, was a lovely way to spend time out in the evening.

“Great for families”

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Staff were friendly, breakfast was unbelievable and surrounding area was quiet.
