Wonderful stay
We had a great stay. Check in and communication was easy. Due to storm damage, our original booked cottage was not available and Deb offered us a different (much larger) home without added cost. We greatly appreciated it so we didn't have to cancel our vacation. The home was very clean and had everything we needed and then some. The area is beautiful and the beach was very clean. You cannot beat the views from the home. We look forward to staying here again!

Magical Getaway
We absolutely loved staying here! It is truly a paradise setting! The sound of the waves were beyond relaxing! We loved walking to the island at low tide and visiting Boothbay Harbor one day. Owners are great. Thanks for sharing your cottage!

Magical location
Cottage was immaculately clean, and the ocean view was outstanding! Almost felt like we were IN the surf, but hearing it 24/7 was a treat! Had a wonderful week at beautiful Popham Beach!!

Great location on the beach
We absolutely loved to walk on the beach which extended for miles in either direction. We came to enjoy watching the seals by Fort Popham, and would visit them everyday -- to the extent that we went at 7 am on the day we left! The cottage was small, but fine for the two of us. It had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. We were there before Memorial Day, so there weren't many restaurants open -- but we planned ahead, and stocked up in Bath, so we didn't need anything. It was early in the season, so pretty much all that was available in foodstuffs was salt and pepper, but that was fine. We would like to return at some later date!

Incredible stay!
Beautiful little cottage right on the water! Great location for the price. The lighting is incredible. If you wake up earlier enough, you’ll get to see the sun rise right over the water. The beach was easily accessible and very private. It was the perfect size for our group of 4–cozy but still spacious. The only issue was that there was a small ant problem (not very noticeable except for near the door), but definitely did not detract from our stay!

Even with heavy rain for 3 out of 5 days, the views were awesome and rhe place was comfortable

Ocean shore 24/7.
Direct view of the ocean from every window. The cottage was comfortable and well appointed. Missing only a hassock and a potato masher (which we improvised). Stunning scenery all day and beautiful moonlight and splashes of starry Maine skies at night. A perfect getaway; we're def. coming back.

Beach cottage style living with a fantastic view. The ocean delivers hourly / daily entertainment.
The property was clean and had all the kitchen & bath essentials,TV and WiFi and great views, comfortable seating & dining areas inside and out. Loved the location. Most of the local restaurants hadn't opened yet, but I planned on cooking most of our meals and we picked up groceries at the local stores as needed. The only laundry is 30 minute drive but it was large and clean. I would definitely stay in this location again! Loved it!!!!

What a perfect beach cottage!
Its so hard for me to find a beachside cottage thats dog friendly…. Until now! This was the perfect rental for us. Super cute, plenty of room and safe for my 3 yr old, right on the water, dog friendly and just all around lovely. We had an amazing time. I felt sad to leave! The beach is just gorgeous and seeing all the seals was wonderful. We came before memorial day so not much open but we didn’t mind bringing a bunch of groceries and cooking. It was all we needed. Thank you Deborah!!! Id love to rent again in the future.

Best time ever!!
The property could not have been more perfect. It was oh so relaxing and quiet. The cabin was clean and very well equipped. The view was spectacular and the beach was inspiring. We did not want to leave. We will be back.

Delightful As Expected
This was our second visit to one of Jim and Deb’s rentals right on the ocean! They continue to be excellent hosts as evidenced by an unintentional cleaning service mixup upon our arrival. The owners jumped on the problem as soon as we notified them and quickly resolved the situation to our satisfaction. Jim and Deb really do give their guests every consideration to make their guests stay as pleasing and comfortable as possible. We will continue to rent from these owners as often as we can. We looked forward to returning to this cozy cottage with the ocean almost at our doorstep at the end of the day.

I stayed at the property with my family and it was simply lovely. It was a comfortable, charming place and the owner was very responsive. Best of all, that view! Listening to the waves and exploring the beach at low tide was a delight. We hope to return in the not too distant future.

We loved staying in the little yellow cottage on the beach! Our week went by much too quickly! This is the second year we have stayed in one of these cottages on Popham Beach. A safe, quiet get away in these turbulent times.

no fuss vaca
for the small size of the cottage it gave us a lot of pleasure, except the furniture in main room is NOT comfortable- a bigger sofa that fits 3 would be nice;the side chairs are very hard to sit in;they are meant for a waiting room, no comfort there either but we made do. For the $$$$ p//wk rent more comfortable furniture shld be provided

Driftwood #48 at Popham Beach
If you've ever visited Popham Beach before via the state park I don't have to tell you how awesome the beach is. This rental is a traditional beachside cottage, clean, nothing fancy but everything you need. Just feet from the beach with a rocky breakwater in between. The rental has large windows for a gorgeous view of the ocean and of islands with functioning lighthouses and sound of crashing waves to lull you to sleep. Highly reccommend.

A great find
Have stayed in Maine many times, but not in the Phippsburg area. It was a nice change that didn't disappoint. The home was so clean, bright and cozy and directly on the beach. Something for everyone here-beautiful private beach, wildlife and seal sightings, hiking, historical sights and more. A very unique spot! Deb and her husband couldn't have been easier or nicer to deal with. We will definitely be back!

We were fortunate enough to spend a week here in early October. Highly, highly recommend it! The panoramic ocean views from the cottage are stunning. (Some of the best views I've seen on the East Coast, after many years traveling from Florida to Maine.) We enjoyed walking on Popham Beach (where tide changes are dramatic and make the scenery feel a little different every day). The cottage was beautifully appointed and comfortable. We loved how the large windows everywhere let in the light and the sound of the sea waves. A perfect getaway.

Everything about this vacation was wonderful. The location is a 10! The cottage is adorable. Decorated so nicely with the lovely nautical touches. It was immaculate, cozy, with a well equipped kitchen, and comfortable in every way. The views are so beautiful. We watched the sunrise everyday. Walked the most beautiful beach In Maine everyday as well. I’d love to go back again... I highly recommend this property.

I finally found the perfect beach cabin!
I just had a wonderful stay at Deb's cabin. I've never been in such a perfect spot--the cabin itself, the convenience, the decor, the ocean right outside the windows--everything conspired to give me a beautiful few day break. Most people who rent out places seem to need to make them too "cutesy" for me, but Deb fixed this place up as simply as possible. Walls are white washed, furniture is simple, everything is in good taste and very classy--for example, ceramic sinks, a lovely little glass shower surround, beautiful simple light fixtures, etc. The windows were large and looked directly out on the ocean, and it was easy to get out and walk on the beach. I had all that I needed for self-sufficiency and comfort. The one mishap I had was that the wifi went out and I had to drive to a nearby convenience store to get cell service to contact Deb. She and her husband appeared at my door not long after and the wifi was fixed--of course it was not their fault. The location is also perfect--quite isolated with just a few houses around and no noise. I loved it.

Please note the beds and mattresses are brand new. Peoples preferences in mattresses is very subjective. Housekeeping issues were never brought to my attention or I would have sent someone in to correct.

Endroit superbe et très propre mais quelques petits problèmes.
Nous avons beaucoup apprécié notre sejour et l’endroit était vraiment à la hauteur de nos attentes. Toutefois nous n’avions pas d’eau courante à notre arrivée et le problème ne fut résolu que le lendemain matin. De plus les brûleurs du bbq ne fonctionnaient pas bien ainsi que le foyer exterieur. Nous etions tôt dans la saison et peut-etre que quelques verifications auraient dû etre faites avant notre arrivée. Ces quelques petits désagréments ne nous empêcheraient pas d’y retourner par contre !
