"Comfortable bed. Decent hot shower. Lockers in the dorm that appeared to be secure. Unusually for a hostel, they provided shampoo and handwash in the showers and bathroom. It's rather spartan but is relaxing and enjoyable. Has most things you need. The one thing lacking was a kettle."

"Could not find the property, clearly this has been a problem for others, even followed the hotels guidance of putting in another building in sat nav, the taxi driver could not find also, ending up paying for a hotel that i could find."

"I arrived to this property after midnight, but the owner welcomed me with a smile. He even prepared me a tea in the morning, explained how to explore George Town in a day (coz I was there for one day only), even help me sorted with my lost baggage issues. Would stay more days in the future trip to Penang."

"On arrival thought the place was very good, easy checkin, friendly staff, decent sized room etc. Easy walk in the evening to Chullia St Hawker Stalls for a really good meal. All over the hotel there were signs about no noise after 10pm all was fine till 3am when the noise the door banging, running up & down the very old, very noisy stairwell this went on & off till 5am. We don’t expect complete quiet in a hotel at night & do realise people are on holidays but this was the worst I’d heard in...

"There was no one to open the locked front door when we arrived. Had to call up their contact number and the concerned person reached after 5-10 minutes while we waited outside with all our luggage. There is no front desk staff most of the time which leaves us with none to help with any needed information. The room is extremely congested as well."

"Good air con, clean and comfy room, clean WC. However there was flies around the bins in the hallways when people put food in there. Then the flies came into my room and was in my capsule :( there was a lot of dust on the walls too. "

"Overall ok for the price . Double room (private) with shared bathroom .convenient location just that the windows were not sealed properly so it was very noisy . Comfy bed . Room was a bit dusty ..cleanliness could be improved . Friendly service from the counter staff. "

"The staff is very welcoming and kind. The lobby downstairs is very comfortable to sit in for long periods. I wish they kept the snacks stocked but I guess that was minor. I really like how the place is decorated and would return if I could stay in one of their very cool private rooms. The wifi was excellent as well."
