"A beautiful restored shophouse. Very welcoming staff and very clean common areas. The rooms can get a bit warm in the afternoon as part of the roof is covered in zinc and conducts heat directly into the room. Bed is located in the attic which can be a slight inconvenience but it adds to the overall charm of the place. Toilets are small and poky but still good enough for me. For the price, I would still recommend this place for those seeking something out of the ordinary. "

"The building of the hotel has 200 years of the history. It's amazing that we can actually stay such a historical building. In addition, the interior are well maintained and it matches with the historical building."

"I can only give 4 stars because there is no smoke alarm and I was travelling alone so would not wake up and I had to ask for refill of clean towels, water , shower gel on 3rd day . I was hoping my room would get cleaned but didnt. No window in my room. Other then that it's a nice stay for a good price with your own bathroom and nice roof terrace. Some guests came in late screaming around hallway when I'm trying to sleep and bar pumping but no big deal. The owner said he will install smoke alarms...

"Very clean. Air con was nice a a cool. The staff we were served by were friendly and helpful. We had trouble finding the place cause it is on the second floor, but I thought ground floor was the first floor. So it's the third level. 2nd floor. It's a pretty good location since it's close to a bunch of stuff. The sinks in the bathrooms of the two rooms we booked drained slowly which isn't great. Don't expect toilet paper. "Was deffo a budget place- basic box room with two beds, was comfy enough for a short stay. Air con worked well. Bathroom small but effective. Overall a perfect place to be used just for sleeping rather than if you're looking for somewhere luxury. Staff were absolutely lovely and friendly, as well as very accomodating and helpful."

" I came to Penang to register my daughter into USM. It’s a great choice. It’s near to USM around 15mins. Car can park inside hotel with gates for FREE. speedmart 100meter, waking distance for local food. Becareful they lock the gate at 12midnight for security ."

"The location is not updated. I was informed that they have shifted to Mansion One when I called up upon check-in. And the manager promised this is much better than the previous one. This wasn't the main concern anyway. What disappointed us was the room condition, which was totally different from what was advertised. There wasn't lighting in the room. "The room was super warm and humid. The windows couldn't shut fully and had incects coming in. The opposite of the property have chickens and dogs that will make noise super early in the morning. There were some lion dance practices till late at night. The room have no poles/hooks to hang stuff. Only have a small row of hooks behind the door. The property wall had tissue paper stuffed in it and multiple defects on the wall. The property has very noisy flooring, I can hear everyone walking...
