"My friend and I had a very enjoyable stay. The Chateau is well situated for visiting the area. Arudy, the village just south is charming and has restaurants, gas stations and supermarkets. It is easy to get to great hikes and attractions. Elizabeth is quite helpful in suggesting places to go. The Chateau itself is beautiful. Our rooms were a bit eccentrically decorated, which adds to the charm. Mine had a spectacular view over the Pyrenees. I could hear owls through the open windows at...

"I think my stay would have been better if the farmers strike was not happening shutting down some road access. The strike limited my ability to get around effectively making the location not as ideal for my business. WiFi did not work first 2 days, but they gave me a conference room with hard line for free and were attentive to all my requests. "We stayed for 5 nights and could only praise everything about our stay. The excellent spacious car parking was such a bonus when exploring this lovely city on foot. Most of all it was the staff who made our stay so pleasant. Nothing was too much trouble (booking taxis etc.) The housekeeping girls did such an excellent job...faultless. The breakfast buffet was second to none. One suggestion-load your Kindle before arrival as the hotel hotspot does not support a connection."

"I slept so well every night, it was really quiet. Loved having a kitchenette to sort my own meals. This was a good thing because there is only one restaurant nearby. I think mainly this hotel is for car owners who can travel around easily. There are bus stops 5 minutes walk away, but the buses are not very frequent. However, as I was attending an event at the Palais des Sports, the location was really convenient. But it's a long way out of town."
