"Very nice flat in a pretty spot. Off street parking is super convenient. Owner (and his adorable puppy Nemo!) are friendly and live/work on the property. The home is extremely clean and comfortable and has all needed amenities. The only drawbacks would be not issues with the flat itself--there is a coffeeshop/bar in the street below one front bedroom, and it's a gathering spot every night until very late. "The place itself is quite nice but not really for more than two people unless it’s a child. Also the location is very remote! Bike rental is quite far away (about 12 km). If the other flat is rented by other people and you want to have a bbq you need to ask if it’s possible for you to do so because it’s a shared garden. there are animals in the garden which is not for everybody to have their meal with chickens and dog and goose walking around your feet! It was a bit expensive for what it is."

"The receptionist was very helpful and friendly, explaining the hotel facilities and local choices for eating. I was under the impression that the hotel had a restaurant but, as was explained, there is so much choice nearby it isn't really an issue. They do have a bar which is open till around 22:00 hrs during the week. They do serve breakfast, which is really good value at EUR 5. The rooms are a very good size, with comfy beds and a decent bathroom."

"Der Heiderhof is a very classy hotel. Well appointed, beautifully decorated and a very helpful staff. The spa and work-out room were wonderful and the breakfast was excellent. There is not much to do in the immediate area but it is only 10 minutes to the city center and perhaps 20 minutes to all the outdoor activities of the AltMuhl nature preserve. My one disappointment was the bed. It was very hard, the pillow too flat, and the comforter too thick for a summer evening. I did not sleep well at all."
