"When I arrived, it was 108°, and they informed me that the swimming pool would be closed for the next couple of days. A hotel in Palm Springs with a swimming pool closed. Hum. That information was not made available at the time of the booking. When I entered my room and took my shoes off, I found that the carpet was soaking wet with water. Apparently, the air conditioning unit in the room had leaked for some time. When I called the front desk and informed them, not once did they apologize. The woman at the desk simply said, "Would you like me to send someone up to take a look at it?" I had to explain to the woman that it mattered not whether she sent somebody to the room. The appropriate thing was to apologize and to move me to a new room immediately. That seemed a novel concept to her. This is a deeply dated property. It feels like going back in time to the late 80s or early 90s. If you don't care about the aesthetic or the amenities and you simply want a convenient location (proximity to "downtown") and a comfortable bed to stay in, this is your place."
