“overnight stay”

Needs some updating in rooms (TV) - otherwise a pleasant stay. Beautiful weather. Did ask the front desk staff about local restaurants, but didn't get quite enough info to find the restaurant we decided to visit!

we were passing thru and had no idea where we were staying, everything was very pleasant.

“Congenial staff”

Quiet, clean and very friendly staff. The hotel no longer serves breakfast due to the economy. It would have been nice to know that before hand.

“Good for all ages”

It was very comfortable. Would have liked a breakfast nook.

“OK if everywhere else is booked.”

Hotel was clean, the biggest plus for me. Only booked here because everywhere else in the area was already full. Only minus is that I feel for the price paid, they should have included a breakfast.

“Riverview Inn, Oconto, Wisconsin”

This is a very basic, "no frills" hotel. Given that there are not very many choices in this part of rural Wisconsin, the hotel proved to be a good choice. They do not have night staff, and hence I am unsure how the late night check-in works -- we were lucky to make it to hotel just as the lady at the front desk was closing up for the night. They do not serve breakfast anymore. We had our breakfast at "Crivalos" -- a nice family owned restuarant in downtown Oconto (about a mile from the hotel).

“Sad little hotel”

The carpet in the room was very worn and dirty. This was the overall impression of the lobby as well. It is April, yet there was old dusty holiday potpourri in jars on the tables and an artificial floral holiday arrangement on a table. No coffee maker or fridge in rooms, other than more expensive suite, even though listed on website under room ammedities. When I asked at the front desk about this, she said "oh, its still listed like that? It is a mistake". The coffee and non creamer in the lobby was nasty.
