"I had a 2 night business trip so cost was important. The cost was within my allocated budget. The room was well kitted out. Kettle, fridge, ironing facilities, coffee, tea, table to work at, comfortable bed and a tv. Even had a clock alarm at side of bed and a hairdryer. Towels aplenty and a wonderful high pressure shower.
I am sure I have not included everything but would highly recomend this guest house to anyone in oban for a short stay."
"Last minute booking at the end of a 6 day break travelling the west of Scotland. A very beautiful and unique hotel in a fantastic location, quiet and overlooking the water, but only 10 mins drive to Oban centre. Fantastic help on arrival by the reception and senior staff/manager to arrange a room with a bath and also late dining as we had been delayed getting there. Lovely varied menu and extensive drinks list which contributed to a fabulous evening! Great option to use the private HotTub,...
"No complaints at all. I was giving an upgrade on arrival to a room with a lovely comfortable four poster bed, with an amazing view. 5/10 minute walk to the city centre. Hostess was very welcoming. Will definitely stay again."
"Such a disappointment, the room was small and old fashioned. Very little space for two people, and damp in the atmosphere. Towels never dried and had to shower and air dry as gettibg dried with a cold damp towel was no fun.
Check in security was pior, anyon can just walk in and pick up keys to a room , no staff around and when you rang the numbers for contact there was no answer from all three!"
"Good location in the town centre and the ferry terminal for trips to the islands. Would have been a grand hotel once upon a time but is a little worn and dated now. Good standard fare food and beer in the bar. A little parking at the rear which a lot of the other Oban hotels did not have. "

Great Location
"Great location. Could watch the ferry come and go from room. Easy to walk into town/restaurants/shopping. Older hotel that has been updated. Room/bathroom very clean. Breakfast was very good."
