"I have no clue why this place has excellent reviews. I arrived and thought okay this isn too bad. I checked in and was told to sign a sheet saying I’d be staying in a double room though I was switched to a single I asked if he needed to change it, he didn’t know and then said not to worry about it. When I went upstairs, the whole floor smelled of cigarettes, and when I pushed open the door after sliding my card in like it’s 2004, the door swung wide open, it hadn’t even been locked. There was also a strong scent of a man’s cologne like someone had literally just left the room.
The bathroom was the best part of the room. There were cigarette burns in the furniture which was outdated and dingy, the bed itself made me think of sandpaper and cardboard. Finally after being so grossed out I went down to the pool area which I had high hopes for. It was full of kids that had splashed gallons of water out of the pool and hot tub so there were puddles literally all over the pool area.
I immediately checked out, asked for a refund and went to the Hyatt. I was not eating anything that came out of there. For $350 I should be in a nice best western at least. This Wyndham was right down there with motel 6!"
