“Affordable Stay in the City Center”

I previously lived in Moscow for 5 years and know everything about the city. Last week I had to visit Moscow after one year. Let me say that the location of the hotel is great. You can access everywhere easily from this hotel. Rooms are a little small but clean. Breakfast is good. The only downside was that they provided only one set of towels and very little soap. They expect you come to your room without a guest from the nightclub?

“Fantastic Hotel & Location”

Have stayed at Hotel Katerina City twice this year, both times extremely impressed with the service, quality, and price! Both times I had 2-3 day stopovers in Moscow, so needed a hotel close to airport transport and the metro. The hotel is less than 5 mins walk from Paveletskaya train station (where you can catch the aeroexpress direct to domodedovo airport) and the same distance to the Moscow metro. Staff are extremely friendly and spoke english. Rooms were clean, and the free mini bar was great as was the free buffet breakfast! Will definitely stay again next time I'm in Moscow.

“What can I say??? an excellent hotel!”

The Katerina city hotel passed my expectations from what I had read on this website... if anyone gives this hotel a bad review they would give buckinham palace a bad review. The location was excellent! The train from the airport goes almost directly to the hotel and you only have to walk about 2 or 3 minutes....It is right on the river and a nice walk to Red Square.. you can catch the ferry straight across the river and get a return ticket right back. My room was very clean, modern, had a free mini bar & nice view over the river, all the staff spoke very good english provided me with maps and information on attractions. The free buffet in the morning was very good quality food and a really good selection.... the food is one of the things I miss most about the hotel. On check out I was able to leave my bags in storage fro 6 hours at the hotel because my flight left 8 hours after checkout.... I truthfully cannot say one bad thing about this hotel....it was perfect and I had a perfect time, I will always stay at Katerina hotel when I visit Moscow in the future.

Moscow Metro "Underground palaces" which form the core of Moscow's vast and effective metro (subway) system... Kuskovo Estate Beautiful suburban estate filled with exciting history and architecture... and anyone catching the train to or from the airport beware of taxi drivers telling you the trains have finished... they are just talking bs... just say niyet (no in english) when approached

“An excellent option in Moscow for business or visit”

I found this hotel on Expedia and got better rates than those published on the hotel's website. It has an excellent location, two blocks away from Paveletskaya metro / train station. This station has a train service which connects any of the three airports which serve Moscow and costs around USD10 per way, a lot less than a taxi to the city which goes around USD 80. From the same station you will be only two metro stops away from the city center to get to the main attractions. Personnel was very helpful and cooperative, room was clean and the bed very comfortable. Also they speak good English, something very difficult to find around the city. Many thanks to the staff for a wonderful stay, will surely come back.

“Katerina: A Unique and Satisfying Experience in Moscow”

Katerina is the only 100% non-smoking hotel in Moscow. This alone is reason to stay there. On top of that they provide free wifi for multiple devices (computer, ipad, iphone etc.) and free breakfast. The food is excellent. The rooms are small and somewhat spartan but the bed is comfortable and the shower is good. The furniture looks like it was supplied by IKEA. There is plenty of hot water and the a/c works well. There are several free computers in the lobby. The fitness center is small and the equipment is old. They do not provide a coffee maker in the room and they do not provide free coffee in the lobby. However, the bartender will give you a cup for free before the dining room opens. I ate several dinners at the hotel. The food was excellent and moderately priced by Moscow standards. All in all this is a great place to stay. It is unlike any other hotel I've stayed in anywhere in the world. It looks a bit like a college dorm but the staff is very nice and the amenities are excellent.

“good impression of Moscow”

My first time visiting Moscow was a very pleasurable experience. The hotel staff was very willing to help me with anything I needed or requested. The reception staff spoke very good English. They were able to accommodate me for early check in. The free breakfast buffet was very good with a nice selection. The mini-bar in the room was refilled daily with snacks and drinks. I also liked the free internet which had a good connection speed if you had to make voice or video calls to family and friends overseas. The hotel is not too far from the metro station. There is also a money exchange place a few blocks down. A grocery store is within walking distance too if needed. I am definitely staying again when I visit Moscow

“good hotel”

The hotel has a good "price-quality" ratio for Moscow. Location is great. Service is outstanding, excellent bar, great breakfast. Rooms are basic, but clean. Bathroom could be better. Be aware of extremely expensive phone calls from your room, ~$10 per minute international calls and $7 intercity calls.

“A great place close to the centre of Moscow”

We found the hotel to be very pleasant, very clean and well managed. Hotel staff had been very helpful for us in obtaining our tourist visa (free of charge). Reception staff spoke good English and were very helpful. The breakfast buffet had an amazing variety of healthy and tasty food and the mini bar was a pleasant extra. The rooms are a bit small, but well organised and cleanliness, location and easy access to metro make this hotel a very good option for a stay in Moscow.
