“Izmailovo Delta”
Well, I stayed from friday to Monday at Izmailovo Delta. So, the location was great for those who want to visit the famous souvenir Sunday market. The metro station is only 5min walking distance from the hotel. The hotel room was clean but the bed quality was really low. I took a business room, two queen beds, but the beds were single beds....really small...the bathroom was with the tub and pretty clean. There was lots of security inside the hotel. You will no be allowed to take the elevator unless you show your room card to the security guy. There were many coffee shops and restaurants inside the hotel. There was also a post office, a hair dresser, a bank, souvenir shops...etc The weirdest thing was that when I asked the receptionist to call for a taxi, she charged me a 100 rub.... The check out time was at 12pm, I asked the courtesy to stay an extra hour , they said yes but with paiment. I refused so I went dowstairs and asked to keep my laggage at the deposit room,,, they asked me for 50rub per laggage per hour.... my God everything was $$$$$$$....crazy for $$$$$.. However, the buffet restaurant was the best choice...very good quality food and a good variety of food... I ate there in the morning and in the evening .I really liked it. In the mean while I do recommend it, I will stay there again for the price, the food and for the cleanisses of the rooms.... the distance to down town city is about half hour by metro...so it is not recommended for families with little kids.
“Never Again”
This hotel was built around 1980, and doesn't appear to have had much maintainence since then. The beds were old, rooms were hot. My wife and I were approached several times outside the hotel by low level people wanting us to 'rent a room' from them. It was clear the 'foriegn men looking for Russian women' trade was booming in this area. Next time I will spend the extra cash and go 4-5 star hotel.
“Clean and reasonably priced hotel 30 min away from the city center”
I've stayed at this hotel several times and each time you receive consistent level of service/ accommodations. The hotel was built 25 years ago in preparations for the summer Olympic Games and is part of the huge hotel complex. Hotel and rooms went through renovation several years ago and are quite basic, but very clean. Hotel has non-smoking and smoking floors, so you could indicate your preference on the reservation form. Some rooms on the top floors have great views of downtown Moscow. The hotel is about 5 minute walk from the subway station and another 25-30 min subway ride to downtown. There are several restaurants at the hotel and several grocery stores close by. If you are looking for clean, basic and moderately priced accommodation, this is a good place to stay.
“Nice enough for the price.”
Thie is a nice hotel complex for the price. I personally would give it 3.75 stars. Breakfast and dinner buffets were large and good, and priced normal for a hotel. Yes, AC would be nice, but I don't know how well it would work as we didn't have it. We did have mini-fridges in our rooms though which was nice. There are a bunch of little cafes and eateries, as well as a grocery near the metro station which is only 5 minutes walk from any of the complex. I have stayed at alpha, delta and gamma, and all were very nice for the price.
“Good, but get air conditioning”
We had a nice stay for 4 days. Good location with a lot of restaurants and convenience stores nearby. We were there in July in a room without air conditioning. Definitely pay the extra money for AC if you go in the summer, it was literally 92 degrees in our room.
“nice hotel, good price”
very nice hotel, clean close to underground train station price is good for what you get BUT : we had a business room and it was no AC in it !!!!!!!!! just a fan that they call an AC
“Excellent facility for conferences or simply a quality hotel at reasonable price”
My wife and I stayed here during the "consciousness revolution" conference in June 2010. For under $100 per night we found industrial quality and wide open spaces. Good atmosphere, good food, close to a little souvenir shopping and alternative eats. The subway is very close and easier to understand than the maze in New York City. (work with the cyrillic as best you can) It is only 15 minutes or so of metro into the center of the city... The only measure of unhappiness we got was a few instances of the locals (including one employee at this hotel) gaming the system against us for their profit. In the case here (Alpha breakfast buffet) we found a great breakfast experience, but the price(which was not posted) was toyed with by the entry attendant lady for her profit. In one case we arrived with a 5000 ruble note (about $150) and were told that she would have the balance of our change on the way out the door after breakfast. Well, I trusted her too much. On the way out, she handed me considerably less than I had coming and as I walked away counting and converting numbers in my head I realized I had been conned. So be careful and don't trust too much. I think the free-market system is going to be used against you now and then. Buyer beware! But if you pay attention, you will love Moscow and very much appreciate this hotel complex. ps: The buildings look much the same, from one to another at this complex, so try to establish which one is YOURS.
“Very good value for money”
I booked at the hotel twice. First time, no problem. Second time (after returning from St. Petersburg), they could not at first find my reservation. After only a very bried hiatus, I was put up in the Vega Hotel (a part of the complex). Good rooms both time, and a VERY nice breakfast at the Vega. The Gamma-Delta-Vega complex is very close to the Partisanskaya metro station. It is also very close to an amusement center with traditional, almost "fantasy", Russian architecture. Finally, the very efficient metro system will get you downtown in twenty minutes on the outside. Overall, very good value for money.
“good value”
the ismailovo complex has everything one could need all within the hotel, spa, restaurants, cafes, bowling, banking/ATMs, currency exchange, shopping. the metro station is a few minutes walk from the hotel and the metro takes about 15 minutes to reach city center, skipping the traffic. there is a huge park nearby with boat rental and huge market for souvenirs, shopping mall and vodka museum would stay there again, good value for the money
