“Location”
Pros: One block from the arena, one block from St Catherine's, and right by the nightlife - can't really beat the location. The bed was really comfortable. Check-in was quick and friendly. $20 for overnight parking isn't too bad for a major city. Cons: Other than the beds being made, it didn't look like they cleaned the room. There was an open package of crackers, cough medicine, and milk on the table, stuff in the garbage, and the floor was clearly not vaccuumed. Overall, it wasn't bad for a place to crash for the night, but the messy room was a put off. I'd look elsewhere next time, but would stay here if I had to if I couldn't find anything better in the same price range.
“Very nice, in a nice location”
Considering the lobby is under renovation, everything went really well, the rooms are great. Located near some very good restaurants and entertainment. great rates for Montreal
“Great Location!”
The hotel was convenient to Crescent and was a reasonable walking distance to other interesting areas of the city. I would definitely stay here again.
“Quite Decent Montreal City-Center Lodging”
Clean room, polite staff, convenient to St. Catherine and Crescent. Only issue: just one "public" computer with internet access in lobby; otherwise pricey wifi in rooms. I will consider Novotel Montreal Centre a "safe" choice if I return to the city.
“disappointed”
Our stay was a tale of the good and the bad. On the plus side, the staff of the hotel was friendly, knowledgeable and extremely accomodating. We also had very comfortable beds that made sleeping a pleasure. On the down side the rooms we stayed in were in real need of an update. The carpet did not look clean and had "bubbled" under foot, so it was possible to trip on it. We also had stains on the seat of our couch that should be removed. Our curtain had a few wholes in it, so in all, the room had a very disheveled appearance that was not at all inviting. I do not believe I would return or recommend this hotel to anyone. We have stayed at another Novotel which was outstanding, so it amazed us that this one did not live up to our expectations.
“Good Value + Location”
Modern style and convenient location. Room we were assigned had some damage to it (rug stains, banged up AC cover, etc.), but was overall clean. Hotel staff were very helpful. Would stay here again.
“Nothing special”
Hotel was over priced for what you got. No one at the counter to meet us when we arrived, actually thought the guest using the Internet was an employee as the work stations are unclear. The restaurant had a very average breakfast buffet, their was no content in the waffle shell and lots of raw batter sitting in with the pancakes.
“Will definitely stay here again”
Had a wonderful stay at Hotel Novotel Montreal. Excellent location, right near a metro stop as well as very short walking distance to pretty much everything you would want to see in downtown Montreal. Old Montreal was about a 20 minute walk, not bad at all. The hotel was clean, and very moderately priced considering the location as well as the overall decor and cleanliness. Montreal is a fantastic city and will definitely stay here again when I visit.
“excellent location”
needs more interior design, more art and colors in the hallways and rooms, pillows not comfortable, excellent service, friendly staff, excellent breakfast buffet, kids friendly. Excellent location close to ste catherine street where all the shopping and good restaurants
“Would Stay Again”
Great Location, great bed, very good bathroom/shower, terrible carpet, great service, great hotel restaurant and server.
