“Would absolutely go back”

Loved this place. Great service. Well decorated and very clean room. It's located right down town Montreal - very close to Old Montreal. Only issue was the speaker for the tv was in the bathroom - I couldn't find a way to shut it off and turn on the speaker on the tv. Otherwise it was a perfect place to stay!

“Comfortable and convenient.”

We enjoyed our stay at the Intercontinential in Montreal. We easily walked our selves and small luggage to / from the Amrak station via the Underground. We took advantage of the hotel's offer to become a "member" of their in-house club for one day @ $60. This allowed us to get our share, well, maybe more than our share, of drinks, cheeses, snacks, internet. Staff throughout the hotel were friendly, competent. Of course French was spoken -- you are in Montreal afterall. English was also readily available among staff but being in this hotel and in Montreal reminds us of being in France. Truly enjoyable.

“Nice building, but service left something to be desired”

The Intercontinental Montreal is a great location and has a really nice interior. Our room was very clean and attractive, but we faced another room on the other side of the tower. I would have definitely preferred an exterior room with a city view. Within walking distance of Vieux Montreal and the Old Port. However, one day they forgot to refill our in-room coffee supply, and when we called to the front desk, it took them over an hour and multiple phone calls just to get a couple packets of coffee! The same thing happened later that day when my husband asked them to send up a razor-- they told him 15 minutes, and an hour later, we were still waiting. Had to call again and remind them, still took another 20 minutes after that. Not a huge deal, but still annoying!!

“Not Impressed”

Shower drain in the bathroom was stopped up, had to wait for it to slowly drain before the second person could shower. Mold on grout in shower. Pillows in lobby looked like Pee Wee Hermans Playhouse, not a fan of brown carpet.

“Great hotel in great location”

The room was terrific and the view from the 22nd floor was spectacular. We did not eat in the hotel because the immediate neighborhood has so many excellent restaurants ____ especially along rue St. Paul. We will definitely return to Montreal next year and stay at the Intercontinental (if Expedia can dupllcate the very good rate that we paid for 3 nights).

Vieux-Montreal. Great restaurants along with interesting people on the streets and squares and wonderful architecture.

“Perfect for Visiting Montreal”

Very impressive hotel close to Centre-ville shopping and the sights of Old Montreal. Our price was great booking through Expedia but didn't include parking or breakfast. Great coffee place right next door which was not expensive. Well worth the price.

Area recommendations

Do not miss the 15 miles of underground shopping. You can access this near the hotel. Also Old Montreal and Jacques Cartier Place are great for walking around and listening to street music. St. Denis has many small shops and restaurants worth trying as well.

“Great Hotel”

I was impressed. The hotel was spacious and clean and had a great view out over the Fountain beside the hotel. It was very convenient to both downtown and the old town. I would highly recommend this hotel and would stay here if I travel to Montreal again
