I also apologize for any maintenance and housekeeping issues you experienced! We definitely strive for perfection but occasionally things do fall through the cracks! I am sorry that you had a subpar experience, David. Historic properties are certainly not for everyone, and I hate that you have written them off completely! Many of our guests enjoy the quaintness and history behind the property, the proximity to downtown and friendly staff, but I understand if you prefer a more cookie cutter box hotel! We wish you safe travels wherever you choose to stay!

Being busy for the Carnival season is no excuse for you to have experienced that propery in subpar condition. I do apologize that you did not have an enjoyable time. Thanks for the great rating! Our location does make it easy to park your car and not have to get in it until time to go home! There are a ton of great restaurants and shops to walk to and you are correct about the ease of getting to the cruise terminal! I’m glad you had a good stay!

Thanks for the review and feedback. I do apologize if the parking charges were not clearly communicated to you! We only charge for parking for those heading to the cruise terminal so it shouldn't have impacted your nightly rate really!

You are correct that the historic nature of the property can make it a little noisier than a new hotel. We think that the experience of being in a 160 year old property makes up for that though! Thanks so much for the feedback! Yes, the bar is currently only open during special events. We are looking at the possibility of opening on a more regular basis as we get deeper into the summer season. We have also been in contact with our service provider for wifi since we have been experiencing spotty coverage in some of the rooms.
