“What a find!”

The hotel has lots of history and the staff is very informative. Great price, wonderful Southern hospitality. Reminds me of the great, older historical boutique hotels in New Orleans. Definitely a "do-over".

Wonderful spot in historic Mobile. Great alternative to the chain brands and I will definitely stay there again.

“Very pleasant stay”

I found the Magala Inn to be well situated and convenient. The entire staff was excellent; friendly, helpful, accomodating. The room was clean enough. I only noticed dusty baseboards. The mattress slept perfectly. The Magala has lots of interesting history and has accomodated quite a few celebrities whose pictures are diplayed in the lobby. I would not hesitate to stay there again or to recommend it to my friends.

“wonderful historic property close to great restaurants”

This historic inn is within walking distance to some fun restaurants and coffee houses. The roof was terrific with a balcony and a peaceful courtyard. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful about finding good places to visit nearby. I love the area that it is in. It has real character, which I love. The breakfast wasn't great but there is a wonderful coffee shop several blocks away which was voted the best in the city. It was a fun place to walk to. I will definitely stay here when I'm back in Mobile. It was a fun city to visit.

“Charming Stay”

The hotel was great. My mom and I stayed there the night before going out on a cruise. We requested a room with 2 queen beds and the room was HUGE and wonderfully decorated: our room was done in blue with rich draperies and bedding. We enjoyed sitting on the porch with the rocking chairs and listening to the fountain in the courtyard. Breakfast was fine although there were no bowls for cereal and no one manning the food the whole time: the hotel staff would come in every once in a while and check on things. Not many dining choices within walking distance, but overall the hotel was nicer than we expected.

“Quiet”

Old hotel, but very nice employees that were very helpful when asked of anything. Great location if you are going to be in the historic downtown area.
