“Relaxing holiday”
I visited the hotel in June as a single guest. Room was clean with balcony overlooking the hills. Hotel staff were plesant however not many spoke English fluently. Beach is a short walk away and is a pebbly beach rather than sand. Pool area and bar nice. Often had wedding parties in pool/bar area in evening which meant guests had a limited area, however the bar was never busy in the evenings. I enjoyed my stay here on a relaxing holiday - but if you are after a lively hotel then this one may not be a good choice.
“Good choice in Giardini Naxos”
Comfortable Hotel near the beach. Rooms are okay, nothing to write home about but Garden and Pool area are very nice and clean. Staff is very friendly and tries to make you feel at home. Perfect to relax a few days after an exhausting trip thru Sicily. Many Shops and nice Restaurants are in walking distance. Disadvantages are that many Travel Groups use this Hotel as an overnight stay so you have a continual coming and going and Sea View Rooms will hear the animation of the nearby Hotel until 11.00 p.m.
“Not impressed by the quality of the food”
If you are looking to chill around the pool then I would recommend this hotel. Breakfast was fine but I had two evening meals and I was very disappointed. Over cooked fish with little or no flavour and soggy vegetables, not what you expect when there is so much wonderful food around you when you leave the hotel.
“Bus fare - Stay in Taormina”
The beach is not much to speak of but this was Oct and it was raining anyway. First standard room had window view of our car at utiltiy area entrance. Others we spoke to reported having to change rooms several times. Ultimate room with view of Ocean (defintiely not worht the extra to pay for it) had balcony covered with pigeon droppings which come down in a noisy torrent of unbelievable volume from the roost on top of balcony. Room walls fairly thin with the typical adjacent occupant banging on walls. Dining room reminded of an upper class senior residence which lacked charm and social director nice but somewhat of a turn off hcuksetr approach. Menu unimpressive. Internet access was a computer in the lobby. On a rainy day the bus tour crowded the lobby ruing their lack of transport to Taormina. Staying in Taormina next time.
“Adequate-but only just”
We visited in February and the whole area was very very quiet. Hotel clean and friendly but only 20 guests in hotel for 350. Beach dreadful, pool area might be good in season BUT is a walk to the beach with a giant aparthotel between it and the ....beach. I would only recommend the hotel for sightseers in the area for a very short stay. Food was adequate. Hotel seems over starred at 4 stars-no mini bar or fridge!!
“Not what I thought”
The hotel was situated in a spectatular position, however the hotel staff and cleaniness of rooms were a major let down. Because of this I would not go back until it improved.
