"This is our second stay. When they say 1 step above camping that is misleading. By that I mean, if you have camped, this is 20 steps above camping. You have a stove, refrigerator, microwave and coffee pot. It has a screened porch, a deck and right on the pond. There are lights and outlets to charge phones and there is service for phones! "Nice, well kept house away from the hustle & bustle of Bar Harbor for our first visit to the Coast of Maine. Loved having morning coffee on the deck with the view of the harbor and ocean and then at night sitting out taking in the star-filled sky. Only suggestion would be to leave either the porch or garage light on on the day someone new is checking in for the first time. "What a wonderful find. 15 minutes to Acadia; 25 minutes to Bar Harbor. This 2 BR unit had everything we needed. James is a wonderful host. Easy to communicate with, helpful ( He even carried my heavy suitcase up the stairs to the unit). Beds were very comfortable.Area was quiet. We enjoyed looking a birds & wild turkeys out our window. Be aware the unit is up a flight of stairs which is clearly stated & shown in the pictures. I would stay here again next time I come to Maine."

"My partner and I came to Bar Harbor to hike, bike the carriage roads, and have a comfortable clean place to rest each night. This property is perfect for travelers planning to be out and about most of their stay. Perfectly sized for two and has just what you need. Very helpful to have washer/dryer in site. You can grab laundry detergent from the gas station just down the street. Great communication. Very clean. Will definitely be back again."
