“a little notice would be nice”
Hotel was great. The Granite Restaurant was good. Food delicious, service very good, a bit pricey. Hotel guests are not informed that reservations must be made for dinner. Our first night we didn't want to wait the hour to get a table (didn't know reservations were mandatory) so we dined elsewhere but made reservations for 7 pm the next night. When we showed up promptly at 7, we were told that there would be a 20-30 minute wait. This was annoying. The hotel room and staff were terrific. Would return in a heartbeat.
“Lovely historic retreat with modern amenities”
Quiet atmosphere. Well located. Friendly service. Bathroom was oversized. Plenty of towels. Spa- like welcome with robes & slippers on bed. Cookies & weather report for the next day thoughtful touch.
“grand old home hotel”
was really impressed, loved the bathroom!!!! could use another chair in the rooms
“Great Place to Stay”
This hotel was great. They upgraded me to a suite which was a pleasant surprise after traveling 1200 miles. The suites on the first floor have private decks that are great for relaxing and enjoying the view. (Note: the doors do NOT open from the outside so unless you want to climb over the railing and explain to the desk clerk what happened, keep the door open. I speak from experience.) they left cookies on my bed and a card that had the weather for the next day. Checkout was quick and easy, even at three in the morning. I would definitely recommend. :)
“Awesome Hotel with a Great Restaurant”
THis hotel was a great change from the usual chain hotels. Not only was it comfortable, clean, and stylish, but there was the most awesome restaurant in the lobby. We had dinner there both nights of our stay. I had the stuffed trout both nights...YUM! The bartender was awesome! the drinks were far from ho hum ~ they were extraordinary. Unfortunately we were unable to have breakfast there, the menu looks delicious. I would definitely stay there the next time in Concord. I might even find a reason to go to Concord just so I can stay there.
“Great 2-night stay in mid-October”
Plus: Very comfortable room with plenty of room in our double-queen room. Really enjoyed the evening baked treat brought to our room each night and the apple cider (if I got back to the hotel in time). Negative: only thing I can think of is they do not offer any complimentary breakfast of any type. Nice historic building in quiet but central area of Concord. We really enjoyed our 2-night stay. Staff was very friendly and helpful also.
“Historic Hotel with excellent food”
We stayed at the Centennial for three nights. The rooms have been remodeld and are very comfortable. The highlight of the Hotel is the restaurant--The Granite Restaurant--which served excellent food for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and room service. ...food which excells for the area. A short walk around the neighborhood is a must to see all the beautiful mansions decorated for Christmas. This is a special place.

“Best Place in Concord, NH”
This is a great hotel - with an awesome and attentive staff - clean - classy - great food in the restaurant - only thing was we like a bath, easier to bath our baby boy.
“"Old and classy"”
Our room was spacious, well decorated & clean. The staff was friendly & helpful. The two times we ate in the restaurant the food was delicious with a nice presentation.
