"So I called and asked if the pool was heated and I was told yes before even booking. Then I come to check in contactless like the offered me and once I stepped in the building the check in didn’t Work so went to the front freak where the worker was rude then gave me a different room then I asked for I had to change rooms twice. The I go to the pool discover the pool is cold indoors then a staff told me I couldn’t get in. So I left went to get food reported the incident. Worst experience ever"

"Even though the building seems to be older, the inside is very well kept. Room was spacious and had all we needed. No charge for parking which is a big plus for me! The one thing that threw me off because I never experienced it before is that the exhaust vent in the bathroom is on 24hrs. Non-stop. And it's powerful. Not a big deal if the door remains closed, but...why can't guests turn it off?"

"I stayed at this property for nearly a week in mid-May 2026. I was not overly impressed. I have stayed at Crown Plaza properties in the past. The brand is know as a quasi-luxury hotel. This one is not. The first room I was given was at the end of a very long hallway and smelled distinclly of smoke, despite my preferencs otherwise. I protested. The desk, via phone, apologizd and offer to fine me anther room. The second room was closer to the elevator, but smaller and with fewer USB outlets. There was an armchair, but no desk chair for the scarred desk. There was a k-cup coffee maker, hair dryer, small refrigerator. The microwave oven was down the hall next to the ice machine. The heat seemed to be turned off, despite night temperatures dipping into the 50s. There were a number of paint chips and peeling veneer. The restaurant is a sports bar open for breakfast and dinner during the the week with brunch offered on the weekend. The breakfast buffet was pretty good, with a lot of options ranging from cereal to custom omelets on request. I had the chance to purchase the buffet in advance for $9 through Hotels.com, but didn't want to lock myself into that for nearly a week when my schedule was uncertain. Instead, I planned to do it one day at a time. At check-in, I was told (since I didn't purchase in advance), that the buffet was $22 per day. I did that for one day and bought yogurt and cereal to have in my room for the rest of my stay. All in all, it was okay."
Lakeside Inn

"The Lakeside Inn was a pleasant surprise while we visited the Boston area. The breakfast was great, and the front desk folks were very friendly. The room was clean, and we had a beautiful, lakeside view (hence the name of the hotel). They have karaoke and live music depending on the night. We felt safe on the property and enjoyed our stay. While we may not be in the Boston area again for a long time, we will definitely stay at the Lakeside Inn on our next visit!"

"They need to upgrade to smart TV’s so we can log into our streaming services. They also need to clean the floor of the showers so they’re not slimey. They could also pay attention to the small details such as the chipped paint on the walls in the room the door molding being crooked and the crooked wall plates. Attention to detail would go a long way."

"The original room we had was reeking cigarette smoke and the bathroom faucet was broken. Also, housekeeping missed our room twice. But we were offered a different and better room and housekeeping finally came to our room on the last night. If not for the helpfulness of front desks Christian and Donald, hot breakfast every day with good variety, pool and 24/7 gun included, it would have been a terrible overall stay."
