Cozy with a view of lake
It is a little far from everything, but worth the drive. Beautiful deck and view. Found house to be stocked with most everything we needed. I did have to call owner to find a light switch and she answered quickly and was very sweet. I recommend this house if you want to get away . If you are looking for night life this is not for you.

Great getaway on Lake Nolin
We really enjoyed our time at Lakeside Dreams. It was quiet and peaceful. The water levels are down quite a bit in the winter so may want to check that out if you plan to use the lake much but our kids had fun skipping rocks into the lake nonetheless. The property was clean and as advertised. Our only snag was that we didn't receive the door code and upon arrival had trouble getting into the home for a few mins. This was quickly corrected by a fast response from the property manager.

Spring break trip with the grandkids
Short trip to Mammoth Cave with grandkids. Location on the lake was just beautiful and relatively close to the National Park. It would have been much closer if the ferry had been running (down for repairs). The cabin had everything we needed and we thoroughly enjoyed the sitting out on huge deck and taking in the peaceful views of the water. The owners were more than helpful and especially gracious to mail us some items the grands left behind!

Great Stay
We stayed here for a 3 night girls get away trip. It was the mid point meeting up with friends from Georgia and us from northern Indiana. We never left the property and stayed busy playing games, talking, crafting and eating. It was a great place to do everything we had planned.

Nice house for a family!
We were looking for a house for 3 adults and kids 15,11 and 7. This worked great! Kids loved the game room and parents loved sitting out on the deck with the view. Walk to the lake is pretty steep but we only went down once. We spent the day at Mammoth Caves and just the evenings at the house. Comfy chairs by the fire would of been a nice bonus but otherwise this house was very nice. The had a very simple checkout process posted on the fridge. Quick and easy to leave. Driving up the driveway could ve scary in the rain/ice but we had good weather and no issues.

Lakeside dreams indeed!
Beautiful house... beautiful location! The bedrooms were great for our family of 5 with 2 boys & 1 girl. The playroom/sunroom was a great addition when indoors. Kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed. The outside patio was the best place to hang out for us ...we ate all our dinners outside!!! It is a bit hard to find...try to get there while its still day outside. Called the owner and she helped us immediately!

Nice place at Nolin Lake
Had a wonderful weekend at this house. Enjoyed family time and lake time. Very busy lake traffic due to holiday but still had a great time. Took our kayaks and was able to leave on rocky shore so we wouldn’t have to carry up and down each day. House had everything you need to have a great time. All you need is to make sure you bring groceries since there isn’t many stores nearby. Loved the huge front porch overlooking the lake.

Lovely property
This home suited us very well, was clean, had all the amenities we expected with a spacious living room where we could gather. Beautiful deck and view. Were primarily visiting to see the caves, party of 6 adults made renting a house more economical. Was about 40 minutes to anywhere on curvy hilly roads, but we made it to all the sites we wanted to visit.

Older home in lovely secluded setting
What we loved: The lakefront setting was peaceful and lovely. The deck. Well-equipped kitchen. A bathroom for each bedroom. Convenient to Mammoth Cave and Lake Nolan Parks. What could be better: The sofas are worn out, stained and not comfortable. Some of the beds had memory foam toppers, which are softer than we prefer.

Wonderful view
The view and deck were amazing. Check-in was simple and fast. The property has everything listed in the add. Clean. The TV is big and super! My observation is that theThere is a very strong musty smell, especially in the kid's play room. The living room furniture is old and not comfortable and the kitchen chairs are metal. The basics are provided but do not expect any extras. Be prepared to wash dishes. No dishwasher. In defense however one is not listed.

We weren't really at the property much. The house was perfect size for our party of 6, I think that having 8 people there would be too much. Was a little disappointed that the lake in the front of the house was hard to access but overall a pleasant stay.

My family and I stayed here while visiting relatives. We really enjoyed this cabin. The view was spectacular, especially with bare trees not blocking the lake. Plenty of space for everyone. The back deck area was our favorite. The kitchen had everything needed for meals. The living area had comfy furniture and a huge TV. Three large bedrooms provided plenty of sleeping space, however, the mattress in the bedroom with the shower bath attached was too soft for my spouse. He did find the couch comfy for sleeping, though. Bathrooms were clean. The shower stall is a tight fit for adults. We did not use the sunroom at the front, since it was a bit chilly and had a musty smell. Overall, the cabin was a great place to stay. My only concern was that the photos and description do not convey how steep the driveway is. There is also a drop-off at the end of the parking area. We did not have any problems getting in or out, thankfully we had a backup camera.

The cabin and surroundings were beautiful. Nolin Lake is amazing. Property was awesome. Cabin was a little dirty (floors, dusty, etc.), but nothing we couldn’t take care of ourselves. Would stay here again!!

This is a nice place. It is easy to get to, there is a dollar general nearby, it has all of the basics. My suggestion to other guests is to bring additional bedding materials. There were no extra blankets and only one extra pillow. In addition I would bring some additional trash bags there were only a few available. And make sure you have all your shampoos and conditioner. This really is a quaint and quiet place with a beautiful view. You won't be disappointed.

Labor Day Getaway
Thank you for a peaceful weekend getaway with family! Our teenage boys loved fishing off the dock and along the shoreline, they also enjoyed swimming in the lake! My dad and I enjoyed the mornings on the deck with coffee in hand. We did some kayaking down the river and spent a day a Blue Hollar Offroad Park. Would love to come back someday!

Great place to stay!
We booked this rental and planned on going to the Mammoth Caves. It is kind of far from the caves, but it's not too bad. The cabin was cute and we loved the outdoor porch. The only issue we had was the cleanliness. The oven had had a deep clean and the ashes were left behind and not cleaned out. There was also a lot of hair stuck to the sheets in the bunk bed room so I was unsure if they had been washed or not. Overall, we would recommend this property and we enjoyed our stay.

Perfect for visiting the Mammoth Caves
After a day of exploring the national park, coming back to the lake house to jump in the lake was just what we needed. We had a great time playing games on the deck and sharing stories around the fire. The beds were comfy and we all slept great. We are already talking about coming back next year.

Treetop view and delightful swimming
This was our first time at this property and we would return. The hill is steep and could really use some steps, but the height provides a beautiful view of the trees across the lake and the lake itself from the deck. We ate all our meals on the deck -with the fans in and being off the ground, mosquitos were no issue. Ants did start to take over the wood table, so a good spraying would be beneficial in the summer before groups arrive. The kitchen has good counter space and storage and the fridge was very clean. Nice view out the kitchen windows. The bedrooms are clean and nice paint...beds ok. All 3 have en-suite bathrooms, which is great and plenty of nice towels in the laundry room. Kids loved the bunk beds with the full size one on the bottom. We appreciated the shampoo/conditioner and little soaps. One bedroom/bathroom has been updated with laminate wood floors and that was especially appreciated-looks modern and feels better and cleaner to walk on. I think it would be worth the owners time to do the same with the other bedrooms and the living room floors and to update the the bathroom that has the full bath in it. The living room could really be brightened up with that same flooring. That back room is neat looking but It was hot and mildewy smelling, so not able to use, but the windows looking on the limestone wall are nice. The water off the dock is very lovely to swim in and the surrounding nature is just amazing. Thanks for the use of the inner tube and raft! A kayak would also be a WONDERFUL addition. Storms rolled in and we could still sit on the huge deck and watch the lake and sky-it really makes you feel you are somewhere else! The community is very friendly and we would love to return!

We had our annual girls trip and chose this home. We were not disappointed at all. Access was convenient to the docks, place was clean and had everything we needed (except a dishwasher) but we managed. 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms for 4 women was awesome. Neighbors were very friendly. We would definitely stay here again.

This older house has been well maintained. We cooked all meals and was pleasantly surprised with all the items stocked in the kitchen (minus not having a dishwasher). LOVED being able to bring our rental boat right to the dock to grab items from the house mid day. Would definetly stay here again.

I wish we had a do-over.
First and foremost, this property has water and mildew issues. The smell of mildew upon entering the property was overpowering. My husband has occasional asthma and it was an issue all week long. One of the reasons we rented this place was for the second bathroom with a tub to bathe our 7 month old in. However, that bathroom had such an overwhelming smell of urine, that we had to close the door and run the fan for the entirety of our stay. Next on the list was the hilarity of the kitchen mishaps. We also rented this home for the use of a stocked kitchen. If by stocked, the listing meant 3 slices of paper towel, no dish cloths/dish towels/sponges and pans that were in such terrible condition that we wouldn’t cook our food on them, then sure. The outdoor amenities that are boasted about in the listing need a deep cleaning. The grill should also be checked during the cleans in between guests. My husband had to spend 45 minutes cleaning the grill just to use it. P.S., the previous renters may like to know that they forgot their chicken on the grill. We will close with a pettier concern of ours but it could be an important point for some. This property does not have cable or satellite, as listed in the ad.

Hi Megan -sorry to hear this feedback. The property was vacant for a few days, not many, 3 or so between last renter/cleaning, so not sure if that is what you mean by stale when you came in. As far as mildew or water issues, I don’t understand why you say this. There is none and obviously previous or past guest haven’t said this either. Future guest, I’ve personally checked this property the last 4 - 6 weeks in between cleanings as I’m down every weekend. We did get a new cleaning lady and have rectified the supply issue as she wasn’t leaving enough paper towels. The house does have wash clothes, towels and pans. Any future guest who have an issue with any supplies, please call or text and we’ll fix immediately. The property has Wi-Fi listed with YouTube Tv available. This is via an Amazon stick. We have not falsely advertised. Tim

Just what we needed
Our group of guys gather annually to catch up and hang out. We normally camp at Nolin but this year decided to rent a lake house. The house was not super fancy but had everything we needed. The covered porch was great to have for shade and rain protection. The only negative for us was the really steep hill to get down to the lake. The pictures did not show just how steep it was. There is a paved path in a neighbors property we were informed by the owners we could use which helped getting down to the lake dock and back up to the house. The owners were quick to respond and even brought a replacement coffee maker when the one there stopped working. All in all a good stay for our group of guys.

Our kids enjoyed running around the property and having a campfire. We hiked at Nolan Park and toured Mammoth Cave. We also enjoyed the local farmers market. The house was clean and in good condition. Thanks for a great stay!
