“Not impressed”
Therre was 3 in our room but only got 2 bsth towels, as we could not get the phone to work, we went to the reception, they passed it on but nothing happened, the same when we had to go chasing toilet paper. The food was of a poor quality so eat out a few times. 3 yrs ago we stayed at the Triton, that was verry good but we could not get in this time.
“Believe the poor reviews! Stay Away!!”
The bad reviews are true. The staff varies from helpful to downright rude. Our luggage was lost by the airline (not the hotel's fault), however, in trying to track our bags down, one desk clerk actually told us that he couldn't help because his phone didn't dial outside the hotel. Odd, becuase earlier, the girl at the desk was able to dial out. When our bags did arrive later, no one at the front desk called us. We came downstairs and saw them sitting there, they told us they figured we would come get them when we wanted them! The pool is nice, the staff is not. Asking for a cup with ice, after already purchasing soda, was a major trial, ending in an arguement with the bartender. Upon arrival one bed was broken and we waited three hours to get it fixed. We were told the maintainance man had "a list of things to fix and would get there when he can". Extrememly irritating when you've been traveling for 17 hours need sleep. We paid for late check out and were still locked out of our room at noon. Another arguement over non-payment of the phone bill ensued, until he realized that we really couldn't give him change for the phone calls until we were allowed back in the room.
“Nightmare experience”
Palmasol Hotel was somehow ok, but need serious renovation, in and out. I was surprised of those double-glazing windows (new ones) on the balcony, did not kept any of noise, same as room door, huge cap under the door. All those noise coming freely to room from the street and the aisle. The noise was generated by own people in the hotel and youngsters at the street after returning from the bar. Little minus for the reception, no assistant when needed, directed us to somewhere else.
