Lovely room and bathroom facilities. Exceptionally clean and extremely comfortable especially the choice of pillows and bedlinen. Extremely good value.

A nice 4 star hotel. Great Brkfst buffet! Nice view from rm. Good location to use as a base, not so much as a destination. Needs just a small bit of attention to be a 5 star.

“Fantastic”

Breakfast was buffet style, had everything you could possibly want and lots of it. The pool was fantastic, cleaned regularly and towels/ loungers freely available. Staff friendly and helpful. We had a week there and saw it being cleaned on a regular basis. The private beach was nice and sandy.

“Something for everyone...”

As a veggie, was a little worried on the first night when the staff told me that the menu would be same all week. This was not the case and had lots to choose from. Definitely recommend the all inclusive package as you get the whole deal. Went in April and felt like we had our own private pool everyday.. Inside and outside!!! We all had a ball!

Situated on beach but beach is pebbly and I would think not ideal for swimming. Hotel pools excellent and very good service. All amenities within hotel but need taxi to get out and about in both directions. On outskirts of Estopona. Five start hotel but with five star prices for food. Good restaurants. Would stay there again.

“Beautiful Hotel, but food and service could be better”

The hotel was beautiful. However, the food was well below par, the beach was a mess and unusable and the service was slow at every turn. Some of the staff were extremely helpful and others seemed to ignore requests. Overall, the hotel and grounds were worth the shortfalls. I hope it is better during high season - we were there the week prior to the start of high season.

“Good Choice at The Beach”

Right on the beach with a wonderful pool and spa. Fairly new hotel that has large rooms with comfortable beds and hugs bathrooms. Tile floor, marble bath, pleasant surroundings. Very peaceful after a long 1.5 hour drive from Malaga airport. Staff a bit rude and did not prepare welcome drink nor go out of their way for taxis or services. Most of hotel guests were European. Breakfast was wonderful.

“Brilliant relaxing winter break”

We stayed at the Gran Hotel Elba Estepona for 4 nights from 19th February, for a short and relaxing break. The hotel was very quiet, but I would expect that in February as it is not peak season. That was part of its charm as it was relaxed and we had the indoor pool to ourselves each day, which with our 3 year old was fantastic. The hotel was luxurious, very impressed with the communal areas, spa, pools, gardens and the bathrooms particularly. The spa was fantastic and the treatments well priced and of good quality. We have stayed in the costa del sol a number of times before and in terms of location, the hotel was not as ideally placed as we are used to in the Puerto Banus/Nueva Andalucia region. Food was nice, but the restaurants were priced quite highly. The hotel staff were excellent, customer service fantastic, and as usual the spanish staff were great and very attentive towards our little boy even in the restaurant in the evening. Slight negative was that the hot water in the bathrooms took about 10 minutes to warm up, so you had to leave the taps running for what felt like an age, and the hotel put us at the far left hand wing on the 2nd floor when there were ltos of other rooms available nearer the hotel pools, restaurants. It was a long walk with a slepy 3 year old and the lift outside our room didnt work. On the whole it was a lovely break and a great hotel despite a couple of minor niggles, we had a fantastic time.

The hotel is lovely, rooms spacious with great sea views. Bed linen perfect, bathroom, huge and clean and shower with fantastic pressure and lovely shower gel! Staff were friendly and breakfast buffet fab. Indoor pool brilliant as it was cold and rainy when we were there. staff were child friendly. I have never switched hotel rooms before, and the first room that they showed me smelt of smoke and toilets. the staff at reception were really helpful and moved us with minimum fuss to a non- smokey room. The hotel is quite isolated so a car would be an advantage, to go into estepona and to explore the area.
