"I would have rated the property much higher save for two issues. The good part was that the property was well located for us near major routes. It was spacious and clean. The bad part was that we didn't have any heat for the first half of our stay when outside temperature was 2 degrees. The other problem was check-in which supposed to be from 4-8pm but there was no-one there. After an hour we had to have someone call as their message service wasn't working. 15 minutes later someone arrived...

"Overall this is a nice hotel. The thermal pool is excellent! The 40 euro spa is nice, but not worth 40 euros. Our air conditioning wasn’t working when we arrived and they came within the hour to fix it. Fun fact: the hotel turns off the air conditioning from 0200 to 0600 ish, so if you wake up warm, that’s why. "

"This was the second occasion we visited this hotel prior to getting the ferry in Santander, which is a short 17 mins drive away. We found the hotel extremely well run by very friendly staff and, fortunately for us, all the reception staff spoke very good English. Our booking included a continental breakfast, an optional extra for an evening meal was an open buffet. This was very reasonably priced with a wide choice, and we would thoroughly recommend it. Will definitely us visit again in the...

"Not easy to find even with satnav but worth the effort. We arrived early from the boat and had to wait for the room to be ready. They said 10 minutes and meant it. Room was a good size, on the ground floor, great for an overnight stay. Reception and waiters very helpful. Breakfast at 5 euros for continental was really good with plenty to eat."

Suite Home Pinares

"Stay was great, easy, comfortable. The room felt so clean it could’ve been brand new. Staff was great and helpful with late check in instructions and good breakfast. Only slight downside is that walls are thin enough and area quiet enough to hear the people above/next door fairly easy at night. Just add your own white noise or earplugs and you’re set."

"We were lucky enough to happen across this gem when searching for a quiet location close to Santander that would accommodate us and our two small dogs in a hurry. We were taken aback by the extent of kindness and curtesy extended to us by Ivan and warmed by a welcome that was genuine. The accommodation is tasteful and thoughtfully responds to the 150 year old fully renovated building, replete with all of its original timber beams. It is a pleasing blend of both modern and antique which doesn’t...

"We stayed in this hotel 10 years ago and it was incredible. We were concerned it had changed hands. At first we were disappointed. We were charged 10 euros per night to park our car!!
