For more cosmopolitan days or nights out, Funchal is just 9 km away, easily accessed via the new airport road.

For those who enjoy sporting pursuits, the Santo da Serra Golf Club is 20 km away and guests may also use the tennis courts of the nearby Dom Pedro Garajau Hotel (payable locally).
