“A Hotel To Recommend”
The Galo Alpina is a small hotel which is part of a larger complex. Breakfast is served at the hotel but other meals are in the main complex. The room was clean and quiet with an excellent view over the sea. There were also private gardens with sun loungers, in which we could relax. The staff were very friendly although when we arrived the reception was unmanned but fortunately our taxi driver knew this might be the case and rang through to the main reception for us. We enjoyed five days at the Alpina, including two walking excursions along the Levadas, organised through the hotel.
“Good Quality Sea View”
Room very clean and in good order, great sea view pleasant private gardens you can sun bath in. Could do with a small Bar/Snack facility, had to go to other hotels or Bars if wanted cold drink and a snack. Eating places very good all within 10 minute walk, although area is hilly so either going up a hill or down. Would be happy to recommend hotel.
“peacefull setting”
if your after a quite location with no kids then go here. if you dont want to be the only british guests then avoid it. its a predominate german hotel. otherwise very nice quite location.
