"Clean room, fairly updated. For being right downtown, the hotel was pretty quiet. The room itself was pretty spacious. The hotel was walking distance to downtown and to the ferry dock. The only complaint is that the parking lot was relatively small compared to the number of rooms. This meant that I had to park across the lot from my room. The area is totally safe, so it was more of an annoyance than anything."

"We just returned 5/30/2026 from a magical stay at the Beachcomber Motel on the Water in Mackinaw City, MI, and I can't stop raving about it. The owners and staff (shoutout to Lori, Dick, and Gene!) are genuinely friendly, helpful, and dedicated to making your stay special. The location is unbeatable right on the sandy beach of Lake Huron with stunning panoramic views of Mackinac Island, the majestic Mackinac Bridge, and the sparkling Straits of Mackinac. Waking up to the gentle waves and watching the ferries glide by was the highlight of our trip. We could walk to the Mackinac Island ferry terminal in minutes, and downtown dining and attractions were just a short stroll away. It's the perfect base for exploring everything northern Michigan has to offer. Whether you're here for a romantic getaway, a family adventure, or a peaceful escape, the Beachcomber delivers. Affordable, pristine, and brimming with charm, we've already booked our next trip back. This isn't just a motel; it's a memorable Michigan experience. Highly, highly recommend! You won't regret it"

"Room was very clean except for Mayflies. Breakfast was on the 3rd floor above the lobby. I am handicapped and there was 2 handicapped parking spots both taken before we got there so lots of walking /steps or crossing a full parking lot to get to lobby, breakfast or our hotel room. Location was great for Sheplers ferry, views of Lake Huron , fireworks, restaurants ect."
