“Get away from town but close enough to walk”
This is the third time that I have stayed at Finisterra. It is a quiet and removed location but close enough to everything. The ice machines on all floors were not working but they had ice at the front desk. This was the only complaint. Great pool bar.
“Exceeded our expectations!!- Excellent location!”
Just returned from 5 days at the Finisterra and am VERY happy with our choice of resorts. The pictures of the pools and ocean don't do the resort justice. We stayed in the older section overlooking the Marina- it was fun to look out and see the fishing boats pouring out & the cruise ships pulling in every morning. Location was perfect because a short walk to ( = to a few blocks ) the downtown area where all the good dining and nightlife are. We liked the older section because it was very quiet!! Plus, close to whale watchers bar!! The view of the Pacific is gorgeous & YES we saw whales!! The resort offers a free shuttle from the street to the lobby area & they would even take us up to our building at the top of the Hill. Very helpful as the resort is built on a cliff. Another couple travelling with us stayed in the newer section & none of us felt that our room was inferior to there's- ours was much quieter!!
“Awesome Hotel”
We went here for a friend's wedding and were blown away by the breathtaking views. We saved a little money by staying on the bay side of the hotel and still had a gorgeous view. The only downside is these rooms are only available with two double beds so it's too tight for two adults in one bed. The food at the hotel is amazing and not expensive. We hardly left the hotel because it had everything we needed!
“Friendly Oasis on Paradise....”
Finisterra is a lovely old school resort Hotel at Land's end, with a very cheerful and charming staff. The Location was ideal for us, as it was near the Marina, and walking distance to most attractions. Our room overlooked the ocean, and we witnessed Whales breaching every morning! The Whale watcher restaurant served a yummy breakfast, and the pool area was really nice!
“Fantastic Views”
The new section facing the Pacific is beautiful but I preferred the view to the east overlooking the marina. We were in the older section but the hotel is well maintained. We only ate once on site at the pool so I can't comment on the other facilities. I also enjoyed being close to town and being able to walk everywhere. I always felt safe walking back to the hotel after each late night.
“Simply superb!”
Hotel Finisterra is, in a word, superb. The rooms were excellent; the Whale Watcher was a great gathering spot; and the four course dinner we had at the Blue Marlin Restaurant was great as well. The staff is friendly and attentive. And everything about the Hotel Finisterra was well maintained. The Finisterra is within easy walking distance of the marina and downtown Cabo.
“great hotel stayed twice and both experiences were great”

“Great first Cabo experience”
First trip to Cabo, lucked out w/ this hotel. I booked this hotel based on the reviews on Expedia, and it sure was dead on. Great location, clean, excellent pools, Friendly staff. The resort was not over crowded, the room service was a great alternative with great of the prices. If you get a view of the marina, you may be located in the "older" section. We requested to be moved to the other side and the rooms had more updated aminities (ie. hair dryer bigger bathroom, sitting area w/ a couch)
“My Third time at The Fiestera!!!!!”
This place is great. We had a great time. Close to town, Quiet, the pools are great. I highly recommend this place.
“A pice of paradise away from the maddening crowds”
Hotel Finnisterra is a great place, especially on the Palapa Beach Club side. We do wish that they were able to heat the Jacuzzis in a more consistent and thorough fashion, as well as the pools. But the location on the Pacific side of Lands End was a refreshing choice on our part. And the walk down to the marina was no problem. Cab service was easily arranged through the concierge/front area personnel. We would certainly go back again
