"A beautiful grand dame of a hotel. It could benefit from an upgrade in the lobby and hallways. We had a junior suite facing the city. Noise from the street and nearby party was quite annoying, so chose a lake view room. The pool and spa were lovely, the kids had a great time! Very friendly staff, and situated in a great location to explore the old town."

"Great location in Lausanne, walking distance to metro and train station. Beautiful view of city from breakfast location on 9th floor very good and reasonably priced breakfast. Front desk staff very helpful with tourist questions and parking accommodation great and unique."

"Clean rooms, but rather smaller and simpler than one might expect from a four-star hotel. Hotel staff were generally helpful with directions. WiFi worked well. Breakfast, at 20 CHF, seemed expensive and was not chosen. The system for storage of luggage for guests arriving before check-in or wishing to leave their luggage at the hotel after check-out needs to be revamped; piling the luggage in a corner of the reception lobby seems less than optimal in a number of respects."

"Great location. Is perfect location to start out from whether walking, by train or metro and after a day of sightseeing, being beside the main station is a bonus. Being beside the shops in the station, which are open on Sundays and late into the night, was also very convenient. We were on first floor and while there was some street noise it wasn't an issue for us and we slept well. "

"Hotel is up on a very steep hill from the train station so be mindful of that. Room was spacious, barebones amenity wise, but comfortable regardless. Paid for a garden view room but didn’t get one (unless they meant rock garden???). Good value despite all of this."
