This hotel is an adorable mom and pop kind of place. The owner, Elizabeth goes out of her way to make sure have everything you need and feel comfortable. Full disclosure: It is a little tricky to find and requires climbing stairs but it is worth it. Spend little bit of extra money and stay in the suite for a view you won't want to get out of bed for. The train is conveniently located as well. Stay anywhere else and you'll be sorry!
Stayed at La Spezia one night so we could day trip to Cinque Terra. Had enough time to visit the resort and beach area of La Ricci (only about 15 mins away). The hotel is only a few blocks from the shopping district and some of the higher rated restaurants. The breakfast buffet was very good. Lots of variety and an awesome self serve espresso machine. The hotel can park your car for 20 euro or if you can find a blue spot you can park overnight by buying the ticket after 8pm.

We loved this hotel--from the pleasant and helpful staff, to the delicious breakfast by the sea, the comfortable room, and the beautiful landscape. Our room had a beautiful view of the water and we could here the sounds of the waves lapping up on shore. Only wish we could've stayed longer.

We had an excellent stay at the Hotel Firenze. Our room had a great view with a balcony and it was a great spot for a drink in the evening. Our room was clean and very comfortable. Breakfast was excellent each morning.

This hotel has a friendly and helpful staff. They helped us with any questions about the area including hiking and boats, our major interest. We appreciated being able to leave our bags there after checking out as well as access to their bathroom until our train departure. The hotel is conveniently located near the train station, beach and good restaurants. Only negatives were that the bed was a bit too firm for me and our room was off the breakfast room which was noisy starting around 7:30. Also wi-fi dropped frequently. These are minor inconveniences when considering all the positives. I highly recommend this hotel.

That us "old" as in the 60's...in a good way! The NYT article I read that recommended the hotel in the first place said it was a place that looked like you'd see James Bond by the pool at in 1973 and that was pretty close to the truth. Fantastic views and service and the location has to be seen to be believed. It really is like out of a movie. Didn't get a chance to try the restaurant for anything other than breakfast (which was good) but we plan on coming back here as soon as we can.
We wanted to be neaer the Cinque Terra and regretted not staying in one of the charming towns.
BUT we changed our mind as soon as we reached MY ONE. It was charming, the front desk staff VERY nice, very helpful.
We very much enjoyed the room - it had an extra room with a courtyard that was simply amazing. i cannot recall the room number but our stay was Sept 24 and 25
