“When only the best will do.”

I have stayed here several times over the years on business. Now retired, this was our chance to stay at the hotel in full tourist mode. It is perfectly placed along the Bukit Bintang Walk in the heart of KL. Therefore there is easy access to all manner of sightseeing, shopping and dining including the fabulous Jalan Alor, street food at its best. This is a true five star hotel. Service from arrival to departure is first class on every level. While not a new hotel, it’s better than most and the rooms feature first class fittings that are perfectly maintained. Rooms are a nice comfortable size. Lots of hotel restaurants and bars are to be found in the Starhill Complex which is part of the hotel setup. Good deals seem to be available when booking well in advance. One thing! Maybe it’s time for hotels like this to realise it is the 21st century and Wi-Fi should be included in the tariff HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

“Great place to stay...”

The JW Marriott in KL is a class act. I enjoyed my stay from the early check-in to the late check-out. They were very accommodating to me. The service was great. The room was very nice. Well designed, impeccably clean. The location is right in the middle of everything and convenient to shopping, sightseeing and other KL attractions.

“Kl Get Away”

I was going to KL on business and booked my stay through my company. Since the kids were out of school I decided to bring the family also. I booked their flight and hotel through Expedia and made a note that I also would be staying at the hotel and if possible could we get joing rooms or at least the same floor. When we arrived they had both of our reservation together and put us on the same floor for the first night and then connecting rooms for the rest of our stay. The hotel is very close to all the attractions and shopping malls. One note, if you want to use the wifi in the room ask them to install a wireless router. That way you don't have to call down to the front desk everyday for a code. If you have a Marriott member number than the internet is free.

“Kuala Lumpur Marriott”

I did not make reservations prior of my arrival. When, I arrived at the front desk I was told there were no rooms available except for a suite at a very costly rate per night. I then asked were there business center was located and was directed to the 4th floor. I went upstairs and used my personal computer and booked a room in the hotel using Expedia. I booked a room for a rate that was within my budget. I then waited about 40 minutes and went back to the front dest to see if they had received my intern booking. They had and I was given a lovely non-smoking room.

“An Unpleasant Experience”

Stay was reasonable until the final morning. The night before we booked a car to the airport departing the next morning. We paid cash. When I woke the next morning I received an account under the door and the cost of the car had been charged to the room. When we checked out it took some time to explain. I was not paying twice for the car. A heated discussion and proof of payment and we settled it I think. When I got in the taxi the driver tells us he knows the hotel staff have tried to get away with this. Collect the cash, charge it to the room hoping you won't notice and then pocket the cash. Be careful here.

Like this hotel in this county, Internet must be free, For the hotel will not cost them, But for the customer it is too important
