“Plush historic Hotel wth great views”
Lovely hotel with great views over the Rhine and a very impressive list of previous guests including Queen Elizabeth, US and Russian Presidents, Nelson Mandella etc. More for big company and International meetings than a private holiday. We paid extra for a Rhine view room, which was lovely by day and night. Without this view, we thought it would be disappointing. The breakfast buffet and dinner were good but very expensive. The pool was quite small and basic with no changing room, so if you want a swim be prepared to walk through Reception and groups of well dressed conference delegates in your white dressing gown and flip-flops.

This hotel is on the top of a high hill over looking the Rhine and Bonn. If you want to walk the city not your hotel but if your looking for a top notch hotel with absolutely tons of character, excellent service and rooms, and breathtaking views this is the hotel. Beats the chain hotels by miles. Room and service were spectacular. As said earlier you cant walk to the city but short 15 minute cab ride most of it going doing the hill but it is worth it.
