Traveling for business, I rely on the internet for work, Kanab has optical fiber and very fast internet. However, I had issues with the internet on the fourth floor in the room 422 across from the elevator. It was impossible for me to work from the comfort of my room. When able to connect I had close to “dialup” performances. Needless to say that I tried multiple devices. Internet was fine everywhere else but my room! When asked about it, the manager replied that he never had issues before… and that anyway the hotel was “full” so he couldn’t move me to a different room. As he seemed skeptical, I offered to show him the internet speed and latency experienced in that room, but he refused. I was offered the conference room but It wasn’t comfortable nor was it appealing. After wasting a day, that evening I had enough and asked to be moved to a different room. Magically a room was available on the 3rd floor. And guess what, the internet was fine there. I would advise the owner to believe its customers and fix his Access Points. And yes, of all the beautiful places on earth people still travel for work to Kanab.

Room was clean and nice Breakfast wasn’t great, out of a lot of things by 8:00am and didn’t seem to be adding more. Room was next to elevator so heard that going early. Alarm was set to go off at 5am which wasn’t fun, and trying to figure out how to shut it off was rough. Still have a high rating, nice stay.

It was close to the Grand Canyon National Park and breakfast was good. Check in was smooth with a friendly and smiling staff. However, the Manager who was at the front desk the 2nd day of our stay was quite rude with a condescending manner when I asked about an early check out. Upon check out, the same Manager was at the front desk and the same attitude I got from her. She dismissed me with saying since I booked with Expedia I will get an email for the receipt. I asked her to print me a receipt and she said, "let's see if it will work" handed me a printout and left the counter without even saying the usual "thank you for staying with us".

The property is top quality except for the pool. It was so dirty my son started itching after 5 minutes.

Overall - Decent for the price. Kanab has NO QUALITY dinning options. The spa at the hotel was broken.. NOT GOOD FOR POST HIKING! Breakfast was VERY limited.. Cold sausages, runny fake eggs and over ripe apples. The coffee was hot. Paper thin walls = No privacy. At least the gas prices in town were good!

Hard to find parking with multiple vehicles taking up 4-5 spaces with truck and trailer. An overflow or oversized parking area would be helpful considering this is probably pretty common for this area. Everything else was fine and met our needs for this trip.
