The owner was very accommodating when our concerns were brought to his attention. There were multiple sightings of roaches in the kitchen and bathroom and the pull-out bed left alot to be desired.

The pull out sofa bed is a supplement sleeping apparatus to give over flow guest someplace to sleep. We’re glad we were able to accommodate your extended request of a later check out Aloha! 🌺

Nice location
The condo is decorated nicely and located near restaurants and shopping area. The host answered us promptly with questions and addressing concern/issue. We met a nice "neighbor" on the same floor and had a pleasant visit with her and her dog. Kalalau beach is near by which provides nice snorkeling experience. We will come back and visit again.

Fabulous Kona Condo!
We enjoyed our stay here very much. It was well equipped with all that we needed. It was very clean, comfortable, communication was fabulous, and being able to walk into town was a huge bonus. Close to many beaches, restaurants, and stores. We definitely hope to return some day.

Amazing host, amazing property
Surprisingly, place was a lot larger than I expected. Robin was an incredibly accommodating host, letting us check out later with no cost. The place was so convenient, perfect walking distance to everything. One of the best properties I have ever rented! Highly highly recommend staying with Robin :)

The condo is very conveniently located for shopping and restaurants, about a five minute walk and feels relatively safe. Neighbors are extremely friendly and make us feel right at home. The condo is adequately equipped with kitchen ware, linens, towels, toiletries, beach gear and even guide books. Response is almost immediate when we need to communicate with issues. However, some concerns include the sofa futon bed being very creaky and uncomfortable to sleep on, hearing neighbors upstairs because the walls and floors are so thin, cockroaches crawling about (typical for Hawaii) and a security camera installed facing the front door which feels intrusive (even though written notice was given). Overall, it is still a great place to stay and we would highly recommend it.

Perfect location for us
We arrived late in the evening and the entire Condo was quiet and peaceful, and had a very attractive outdoor design for the entry area. From the Condo you really can just walk to the popular areas to dine and shop. For me we were able to walk five minutes away to the Luau at the resort nearby. Even if you are not much of a walker it really was that easy. The actual room at the condo was clean, well designed, comfortable, and we felt safe and relaxed. There are even house rules that were clear and easy to understand, and everything you need is there, though we didn't use anything but the bed and shower because we were always out. The security system made me feel as though my home base was safe while I was away. Well worth it.

Property is spacious with nice size bedroom and a sofa bed. Large kitchen with enough plates, bowls, cups and cooking utensils. Air conditioning works great. I did notice some small insects around the kitchen sink. Bathroom shower works great. The unit is upstairs on the second floor. Trash needs to be taken out downstairs across the driveway to the common trash bin. I would likely stay again.

Great place, well stocked. Just the right size. Be prepared for cockroaches…I was afraid of bringing them back home…saw about 10 total during stay. Super loud neighbors (talks loud early in the morning and stays up super late) so couldn’t get ANY sleep at all. Was very sleep deprived; being earplugs for sure. The upstairs people walked super loud.

Mai, as I appreciate your feedback! I have put a call out to our Terminix technician to step up treatments. As for evening noises, our complex has a strict policy on a time when it is enforced, and on the entrance main door is our resident manager phone number whom you can call to help remedy any issues. Maintenance Needed
The condo itself was nice. The door lock has been worn down so much that it makes getting into condo very difficult. When we arrived and were finally able to get the the door unlocked, the door latch on the inside was broken and was blocking the door from opening. After contacting owner, who was unable to do anything, we were able to push a key through the door opening and move the latch to open the door. We spoke to the owner again and finished removing the latch. As stated, the condo itself was fine, but the door needs repaired ASAP. Makes for a frustrating experience and decreased safety.

Thank you for the feedback, due to the heavy use of the main door, the handle does tend to wear, and I appreciate you and your husband calling me to let me know. By no means is the security compromised, as you seen I have a security screen door with a keyed deadbolt as well as the main door having a deadbolt. The door key door knob will be replaced at my earliest availability. Hope you had a safe trip! 🌺

It was ok. TV did not work (no signal). Robin was totally available via text. Unfortunately she lives in Honolulu and there was no one else to help. Was it earth shattering? Nah. I was able to read and watch downloaded Netflix shows on my phone. Walked a lot..no car…. Lots of “stuff” close by.

Aloha Dee! Yes sorry about that, I took a flight over there to see what was going on 🤔 come to find out, it wasn’t selected to the right signal “input”. Once I selected “HDMI” the cable signal came in and worked perfectly. I also changed out the cable box to ensure it wasn’t the issue. I hope all is well with you, and had a safe flight home.

Great location
We stayed here for our second half of our trip. It was in a great location. The place itself was quite small and was not stocked like most VRBOs that I have booked previously (no cooking spices and just a keurig coffee pot with no pods). All that being said, definitely book it if you do not plan to hang out or cook at the place. There are lots of restaurants nearby, within walking distance. Beach is close as well. Comfortable beds, including the pullout mattress.

Overall, place was great! Good location, parking provided, plenty of beach stuff in good condition. Everything was clean and labeled appropriately for easy navigation. Air conditioning was a bonus, and much appreciated after a long day outside. Owner is very friendly, and had quick response times when needed via messaging…or in the rare instance of a needed call because you may have locked yourself out of the condo by accident (oops!)! Overall is was a great place, and I would recommend to others as a very nice option which is clean and includes all needed amenities! Thanks for ensuring we enjoyed our vacation!

Poor pest control. On the 1st night, we saw 4 cockroaches (3 appeared in the Kitchen, 1 at the bathroom). So we didn't use the kitchen at all during our stay, just feel disgusting. We see cockroaches every night. It's doesn't matter how stylish it looks after renovated from an old wooden built unit. The problem is still there. Also, the host can't manage how the neighbours living either. It's disappointed experience.

Regarding my stay
The only thing I would say is that window screens in the bedroom need to be cleaned because they are full of dust and the neighbor above are super loud. Their kids were constantly running and jumper upstairs past 9:00pm. Other than that, it was a great place to stay and the location was perfect. Walking distance to everything.

For the price, can't beat the location but took a little getting used to
You can't beat the location for the price. This was the least expensive condo this size with good reviews. We walked downtown one evening in 10 minutes. Nice not needing to worry about parking in Kona. Reserved parking at the condo was nice to know we'd always have a place. Good view of the ocean from either end of the stairways. Check-in/check-out was very helpful for complete independence. Owner responded quickly and was very helpful for the few questions we had prior to arriving. The condo was clean with well-stocked kitchen and bathroom, extra pillows/towels. Power strips in several outlets were a nice addition. A/C, oscillating fan and ceiling fans were much appreciated for the cooling and background noise. The beds were comfortable. Originally, I booked this place instead of another slightly more-expensive rental on the top floor with an ocean view, in the same complex, because this one had washer/dryer in the condo. However, two weeks prior to arriving, I noticed the washer/dryer had been removed from the listing details and photos. Upon contacting the owner, they confirmed this was the case and unfortunately the other place was now unavailable. I'm sure they didn't realize this was an important factor in our decision but it would have been nice to know as early as possible about this change. However, when I asked, the owner was helpful with details about the nearby laundry room in the complex of the building next door and how to use the PayRange app to pay. It all worked out well and we were happy with the setup. As listed in other reviews, no glass in the windows, just screens and metal shutters. Many condos in this complex appear similar. I didn't fully understand the significance until the first night. Noises from outside are very clear, such as the people in the parking lot at 10:30pm, the loud bird in the tree at 1:30am, the very loud car on the road at 2:30am and so forth. But with the A/C or the fan turned on, my kids didn't hear any of these. It took me a couple nights to learn to tune them out. The pull-out sofa bed was very noisy with any movement and pinging of the support springs. Kids in condo above could be heard running/jumping overhead. It takes several minutes for the hot water to finally heat up. My first shower was cold until I noticed the water was finally beginning to heat up as I finished, from then on I let it run until hot. The "solar-heated" setup maybe.

Very walkable and convenient location
Fifteen minutes from the airport, five minutes walk to the main drag on Alii, this condo is perfectly positioned for an immersive stay in the heart of Kailua-Kona with or without your own rental car. A reserved parking spot is available, and there are limited visitor spots available as well. We stayed for 28 days and found the condo to have (almost) everything we would've wanted when we reserved our booking last August. One of our deciding factors for staying here was the presence of an in-home washer/dryer unit. Between our booking and arrival, the owner did away with these appliances; there were coin-on washer/dryer units available for use in the adjacent building. While the owner may have had good reason for discontinuing the maintenance of w/d for renters, we were disappointed that there was no advance communication to this effect. We would have cancelled our booking and stayed elsewhere, but did not have that opportunity. Additionally, there was ongoing roof and loud maintenance work to the building for very nearly ALL of our stay, starting at 7:30am most mornings. We had no advance warning on this either, and when contacted, the owner didn't have information handy on how long (or what hours) to expect the work to continue. Caveat: We did receive three days notice before the water was turned off for three hours one of our final mornings there. The living spaces make efficient use of the limited square footage. We (a couple with a 7yo child) were able to sleep comfortably between the queen-sized bed and pull-out couch in the living room. Also, the kitchen had pretty much everything we needed. Finally, there is a decent collection of pool and beach accessories on the little balcony, including a couple modern-fit snorkel masks. For those with kids, Honl beach is walkable if not swimmable, and turtles can be viewed in the tidepools at low tide. A mile down Alii, there is a great swim/snorkel spot for little ones in from of the King Kamehameha hotel. When you add the convenience of a free trolley running up and down the Alii strip every hour, it's easy to get most of your needs met. Live music needs can be met at a variety of places. The more happening spots are perhaps Gertrude's and Willie's Hot Chicken (which is a 1.5 mile walk or take the trolley to the Kona Brewery next door to Willie's).

Thank you for the feedback, yes I don’t advertise a balcony, it’s a small area where we store beach gear. Being in a tropical climate as Hawaii is, controlling pests is an ongoing job, that i have have professionals take care of, I’ll also spot treat as needed, Have a safe trip home 🌺🌴

Great location - can walk to lots of shops & restaurants. The unit was very clean and nicely presented. However, the walls are very thin - you can hear any outside noises (namely, birds, traffic & upstairs neighbor), despite the a/c being pretty loud. Also, the bed was uncomfortably firm. I also thought it was weird they have a camera that points to the door. Didn't know about that until check-in. We were only there for 2 nights so we didn't use much of the appliances or unit amenities.

Mahalo for the feedback, this is a condo setting and other owners and families live here. We added security and have a camera on the main entrance door for the added safety and security of our guests and my condo, which also allows for “Self checking in” for our guests.

Easy checkin, prompt communication from Robin, assortment of beach equipment. We used lawn chairs and beach umbrella. Internet, tv programming was fast and worked flawlessley. Very comfortable bed. Dual access to bathroom worked well for us. Short walk to trolley stop.

very nice condo, very close to city center. apartment was nice inside and clean, the pool was a hike to get to, and hard to find. the tenant in the unit above was a bit noisy. while it was close to the ocean, there was no view, which was disappointing, given its location and price. the condo is on the second floor, and with no elevator, thus was very difficult for my wife to get up and down to.

Clean condo in a great location
The condo is exactly as described with all amenities provided that you would need. The queen bed is comfortable and the bedroom is large enough to also fit a pack and play. You can walk to some shops and even the resort near by for happy hour which was delicious. You are a short drive from the busy shopping street. Unfortunately the pool was closed while we stayed but it looked nice. You will most likely see some bugs in the condo, which we understood since it is an island. There weren’t many. Parking is easy and convenient.

I stayed here with my Dad for a few days and it was fantastic! It was clean, had all the things we could possibly need for cooking, etc. the location was great, walkable to the downtown area on Ali’i drive and Inwas able to walk and find a little rocky beach 10 minutes away. The pictures looked exactly like the unit. Plenty of extra sheets and blankets for the pull out sofa bed. Great communication with the owner. This is a very nice property located five minutes from the main strip of Kona with its shops and restaurants. Having a fixed parking spot and laundry in the complex was a big plus. The owner also provided plenty of beach towels and beach equipment for use. Kitchen was well appointed. All in all a great stay.

A week in paradise
Amazing location and great amenities makes you feel like you’re at home. Can’t wait to go back. Host was super receptive and check in process was smooth. The unit was clean and well equipped. It’s within walking distance of the best part of Alii Dr (though after a few Mai tais the last little uphill push is rough lol) be prepared for high priced food and supplies on Alii dr, but luckily Walmart and Safeway are only 7 minute car ride. Oceans Restaurant was the best value($5 mai tais). There’s gorgeous little beaches all up and down the street and Kealakekua Bay is about 14 miles south for the best snorkeling you’ll ever experience. The toilet is very nice(odd thing to remark about I know, but you’ll see when you get there). Good height and elongated with low water level(guys will appreciate this). One thing to note is the AC unit is pretty old -and dingy. It doesn’t appear to have a filter anymore. Also the bath fan filter screen is very lint covered making the fan not very effective. Also one noteworthy thing is the coqui frogs that make noise at night. The whole complex is very Island vibe and as such the windows are actually metal shutters so you will hear whatever is going on outside. Thankfully most people there are chill and respectful.I’m not sure if the unit directly above this is a vacation rental too or not, but it was loud when their kids we’re running around. All and all none of the cons were a big deal and the host had no control over them.

Decent Accommodations in Prime Location!
Process was straightforward, and the host was pretty responsive to any other inquiries. Had everything we needed, and it is in a convenient location! A few minutes walking will take you to some nice shops and restaurants, and a few more steps will get you on the beach! Cleanliness was good overall, but I did notice a few bugs around the unit. The host did mention this in the welcome packet. Otherwise, we enjoyed our stay.
