“A real gem - tucked away in a lovely area”
I stayed at this hotel with 2 friends for 4 days at the end of July and I can't recommend it enough. It was clean, modern, staff were friendly and helpful and the meals were lovely. Large buffets at breakfast and dinner meant we spent no extra money on food at all. Rooms come with a large bathroom, air-con, free safe and mini-fridge and a small balcony with tables and chairs. The pool area is lovely; clean and well kept with plenty of sun loungers. Despite the fact that the area was so busy, people were so quiet and considerate that it was possible to completely relax and enjoy the view and the sun. Only minus point is that the walls are extremely thin - you can literally hear the people in the rooms surrounding you. Didn't see much of Santa Eulalia itself, as we stayed by the pool all day and ventured out to Ibiza town or Sant Antoni in the evenings. There is a real mix of guests in the hotel - younger groups, families and kids and older people. It made for a good atmosphere and a relaxing stay. I would recommend staying here for the peace and quiet and getting a cab to the party areas. At least you will get some sleep when you go to bed!
“Sol Ibiza - Unbelievable Breakfast”
This was my first (hopefully) visit to Ibiza and Sol Ibiza was almost everything I could have wanted. Firstly, the room was comfortable and relatively clean, although sand seems to get everywhere. I had an ocean view overlooking the pool, and in general the view was amazing. The pool itself was fantastic, although the hotel itself does not have a beach to take advantage of the ocean - not a big issue since the public beach is relatively close. Breakfast was absolutely amazing, taking place in a huge room on the lowest level. The selection was extensive, if a little repetitive towards the end of the stay, with eggs, bacon, ham. cheese, cereals, fresh fruit, juices and coffee and espresso. This was included in the room price, and I assume must be in most rooms since not once was I asked for my room number. The negatives - no free internet access anywhere. There is a business area on the main floor where you can pay for access, but I chose to instead select restaurants and bars that had free access and use this instead. Also, I coordinated a scooter rental through the hotel, which generally worked out well, but the reception area miscommunicated and left me and the rental person standing around for 20 minutes before we found each other. Cab fare to the airport is about 40 euro, and the area is more family oriented - seemed to shut down around 1:00 am. The hotel is a short walk from the main boardwalk, although it takes some effort to find the best route.
“A lovely resort”
Autumn is a great time to stay in Santa Eulalia
“Will stay there next time fore sure !”
Very good hotel
“Good location, comformable hotel and nice and friendly staff”
We stayed for 4 nights and our experience was very positive. The hotel is very nice and comfortable and the staff very professional. We had our rooms allocated in the 7th floor with sea views and a small terrace that we thoroughly enjoyed every morning and evening. The hotel facilities are very completed and with very good standard ( swimming pool, spa, restaurant, etc..)It is only 15 minutes drive from the centre of Ibiza. We definetely recommend the hotel and if we come back we would love to stay again.
“Poor customer service”
Hotel reception staff refused to pass calls to my room unless caller had room number. They would not tell my husband I had safely arrived even though he had confirmation number. He asked them to pass me a message, which they also did not do. Apart from the 10 Euro deposit for pool towels, they wanted to charge a non-refundable 1 Euro fee to exchange my used towel for a clean one. The explanation was because I was there during "non-typical" tourist dates. That is unacceptable for a 4-star hotel.
“Will NEVER go there again!”
We will never go there again. I read a few reviews from other people who went to this hotel about the rooms having paper thin walls.... oh my god they were right. We could hear the man peeing at night and the TV / talking / constant noise, we had to buy ear plugs which helped a bit. There were also ants crawling all over the room... When we complained about not being able to get any sleep the very RUDE reception staff just turned there noses up and would not even try to help. I have been to many countries and hotels and my god this hotels staff are the most rude and unhelpful team i have EVER come across... The only good thing was the entertainment manager was a lovely guy. All i can say is if you are ok with not sleeping and are happy with a bunch of miserable staff then this is the hotel for you!
