Well positioned overlooking riverPosted 30/11/2013
Pros: The staff, the prices and the tours we arranged were all excellent.
Cons: It's an old hotel which is part of its charm and perhaps some of it needs a little updating.
Location: By the river, very central with the Citadel, market and boat tours nearby. The temple visits are easily arranged from here too.
The food here was excellent and very reasonable. The staff were lovely and in particular the tour guide was superb in arranging well priced, we'll planned tours.

The grand old lady of Hue - highly recommendedPosted 13/09/2013
Pros: Staff, food, location, ambience and old world style
Cons: nothing, however we stayed in the low season and I imagine it could get quite busy / noisy in the high season, with over 280 rooms (from memory)
Location: Take a pillion motorbike tour with Hue Kangaroo Tours to Minh Mang Tombs, the Citadel, Pavillion etc. Cruise the Perfume River, Dine at DMZ restaurant
We stayed two nights at this hotel in early September. It is a very beautiful property in the grand old style of 100 years ago - huge rooms, courtyards, chandeliers etc. Our bedroom was large and comfortable with the only small criticism that our shower was over the bath - not great if you have a bad leg as I do. Apart from that, I could find no fault with the property. The staff were older than usual, which I liked as they knew their stuff without being intrusive. Had a manicure and pedicure which were well done and inexpensive, the food was good, there is a pool and a snooker room, and the location is excellent.

Hue for two daysPosted 22/08/2013 on Hotels.com
The hotel was very flash. The room was quite opulent . We did not feel cramped at all. Great outdoor area for drinks or meals or just sitting. We had a couple of extra things offered by staff, that probably shouldn't have happened, so be careful what you say, don't give too much personal info away. But we loved Hue, and great position to stay at.

Pros: Room, staff and surroundings. Everything at the hotel.
Room was wonderfully-furnished and clean. The staff and surroundings are great. Easy access to the night market and the center of the city. We really enjoyed staing there.

Old world charmPosted 13/08/2013 on Hotels.com
We arrived after a long day with flight delays and after the long drive from Danang and were impressed with our first sight of the saigon morin. Long leisurely breakfasts al fresco in the courtyard was a great way to start the day and the pool was perfect after a hot day of sightseeing. The tour desk booked a car and driver, and dragon boat ride for our private tombs and citadel tour that hit the highlights but would have been much better with a guide. Our river view room was spacious but sparsely furnished. We enjoyed our stay and recommend the Saigon Morin for a visit to Hue.

Classic old colonial and very reasonable pricedPosted 11/06/2013 on Hotels.com
Loved our time at this hotel! All the usual style, services and comfort of the French colonial hotels in Vietnam but at a very affordable price. It is also in a great location on the river, across from the citadel and walking distance to a lot of great restaurants . If I am ever back In Hue I will definitely stay here again and I will recommend this hotel to others.
