“First Rate”

I expected much from this hotel, and it did not disappoint. The location, views (book a harbor view room), amenities, quality of appointments, furniture, staff, service, restaurants, and entertainment are all first rate. The room decor is old world (with a British feel) without being stuffy, with high ceilings, rich woods (yes, not veneers), leathers, thoughtful touches for suits and shoes, marble tiling and counter tops and very large flat panel tvs (if you happen to take the kids, but I never turned mine on, if you know what I mean). Yes, this is an expensive hotel, but you would be hard pressed to find a better hotel experience anywhere in the world. I can't think of even a single suggestion for improvement.

“Best hotel ever”

Of all the hotels I have stayed in, this had to be the best. The service was impeccable: friendly, personal, punctual, and just extra special. We had a magnificent room with a superb view over Victoria Harbour and there was nothing lacking for our comfort. The hotel maintains a fleet of limousines, which makes it extremely easy to transit to the airport or to the mainland. And across from the front door, there is a lovely park, in which to relax.

“Island peace & quiet”

One of the best hotel's I've ever stayed in. Well situated, adjacent to Hong Kong Park, pleasant grounds, convenient to business areas & tourist destinations, transport options plentiful including train-shuttle airport links. Exceptional service & helpful staff, good rooms. Remarkable (but expensive) breakfast with vast array of high quality Western & Asian foods. Summer Palace (Michelin-starred) restaurant in the hotel also exceptional. I'll use the Isaland Shangri -la again on Hong Kong visits and can strogly recommend it.

“Perfect Hong Kong Location”

The Island Shangrila is a truly world class accommodation experience. Centrally located on the Island with only a short walk to Admiralty MTR and a great Mall. We can truly say the Hotel excells at making you feel like royalty.

“Good Hong Kong Choice”

The hotel was everything we expected; absolutely gorgeous inside with attentive service, nice mountain side views, and good food throughout. The location is fine, convenient to the subway and shopping, with a nice park adjacent. Walking distance to the Peak Tram but a bit far to the Ferry.

“Absolutely Great Hotel”

I absolutely loved this hotel. The level of service was outstanding, I've never experienced that kind of treatment anywhere else, and I travel quite a bit. This is a top end five- star hotel and I have nothing negative to say. I had a wonderful stay despite Typhoon 'Goni' during my stay.

“Great Place to Stay But Pretty Pricey”

A great place to stay in Hong Kong, centrally located. A pretty penny, however.
