"Nice rooms and location"

"Very nice property. They are actually condos which I didn’t realize when I booked so my traveling companion and I could have stayed in one condo instead of two. They use a wristband to unlock the condo and access the pool which is a really great idea instead of fussing with card keys. Grocery stores, restaurants and gas stations within driving distance. The condos were clean, the kitchen had tableware and cutlery, coffee pot, dishwasher, washer and dryer and they also provided two packs of laundry detergent. It was so nice to be able to wash my clothes instead of bringing home dirty clothes. The staff was very nice, we arrived early, one condo was ready so we were able to check in early and they called when the other one was ready. Be aware that they don’t provide daily housekeeping but you can always let them know if you need something. There is a restaurant on site but the menu is limited. The bed was very comfortable and I’m sure the sofa was a sleeper. The property is close to the main highway and it’s just a short drive down to the pier. It’s also south of the airport which I would recommend because there’s not much north of the airport. I would definitely stay here again. "

"The staff is excellent. There is renovation going on in one of the towers but no one was staying there. The rooms are spacious and clean. The restaurant and bar menu was good but a bit pricey for someone used to Midwest prices. The open air restaurant, bar and lobby were interesting for me, coming from a region that’s gets fours seasons. I was told the temps are pretty steady at this facility. Don’t worry, the hotel rooms have walls and a spacious balcony. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Royal Kona Resort."

"Sandy beach, ocean view, and shopping access was awesome! Luau was great! Billfish restaurant had amazing food. Hotel breakfast buffet was ok, food was not hot. Wouldn’t do buffet again. ABC store was convenient and had everything we needed. Overall we were very happy with our stay and will stay again. "
