"This was our first stay here and we were very pleased with our decision and the service provided. We needed a basic, clean room for primarily sleeping as we were out and about during the day. The wear was beautiful with cool breezes which made it perfect having windows open. Along with ceiling and floor fan we were very comfortable. It was especially soothing and relaxing hearing the waves and water outside our windows. We enjoyed sitting on our lanai too. The staff cleaned our room daily and provided fresh towels. Security guards were very attentive and friendly and greeted us every evening as we returned to our room. We wil return."

"The only minor thing is one free breakfast box per room per day no matter how many people are staying in the room. Otherwise the grounds are beautiful and the attached restaurant has great staff with great food. Service is fast & food is delivered fast. The location is great for doing things on that side of the island. I would definitely stay there again. "

"The old Hilo Seaside Hotel on the corner of Kalanianaole Highway and Banyan Drive, across Reed's Bay prime location central to Hilo staples like Ken's and The Ponds Restaurants.
The hotel itself consists of buildings with a central tropical courtyard or the swimming pool. Small gym, bikes to borrow, a mediation and common area. The room was clean and cozy. Much effort made in reducing carbon footprint by having the ability to open windows instead of only air conditioning."
