Hotel falling a part, trying to turn on water and faucet in bathroom stays on your hands. Asking for linens for a daughter and they hand it to you in a lobby so you have to bring it to your room by your self. Never seen a hotel in such a bad condition and so bad service… Hostels in Eastern Europe looks like luxury hotels comparing on this hole!

The staff wasn’t very accommodating and the room was filthy. There were dirt marks in the wall, unrecognizable stains on the nightstand, walls and shower. It wasn’t completely a pleasant experience. I’m definitely not ever going to stay there again

I was very happy with everything about this hotel and the amenities that came along with it. The room was very clean and everything smelled nice. The bathroom was exceptionally clean which is usually not the case when I come to hotels like this. The staff was helpful and very friendly. Anything that I needed they were right there to give me direction. I would recommend this hotel to anyone that is in the area that needs lodging. You will not be disappointed.

I was in Hartford Connecticut on business for three days and was very pleasantly surprised by my experience at the Candlewood Suites. The front desk staff was exceptional and very friendly and kind and my room was beautiful and suited. My needs perfectly. I loved the full-size fridge and the opportunity to either microwave or cook on a small stove top, and everything was clean and in excellent condition! I will definitely be back, and I highly recommend this hotel to anybody who needs a spacious and clean place to stay!

BE WARNED: Isolated location. Hotel hands out warning notice about possible car break-ins, and sure enough a guest’s window was smashed when I checked out.

The stove didn’t work; the coffee pot didn’t work. The bed was too high to get into & the mattress sloped to each edge. The ‘cupboard’ in the lobby had expired items, and out of simple staples like white milk. I asked the front desk person when they’d be restocked, and she shrugged her shoulders. Won’t go back to this one

The hotel was full of transient/homeless people. There were people openly smoking marijuana in the hallway, the lock on our door did not work (of which I have a video) and the room smelled like smoke, despite the promise that this was a "non-smoking" property. I was in Hartford with my 16 year old daughter for a volleyball tournament and we had to leave this hotel after an hour because we were not SAFE. I am currently seeking a refund of this DISGUSTING hotel.

Hartford for a weekend
Nice Property. Everything was clean and comfortable. ne complaint -- the pool was freezing cold. Not a particularly good area in the city. Appears to be a lot of "renewal construction" going on in the neighborhood around the hotel. However, the downtown area is easily walkable from the hotel.

No Free Breakfast As Advertised
Candlewood Hotel was clean and close to restaurants and airport. Although you can exchange dirty towels at the front desk, there is no room service unless your stay is st least 7 days. Their website falsely advertise free breakfast (there is no breakfast) which was one of the reason I booked this location!!
