One night only, not again
The reviews did not talk up the place but we were desperate and needed a stay. It was in a fairly dodgy area it felt, the advertised breakfast was not there, and the sheets didn’t look the best. It served our purpose but never again.

Convenient for airport
We were stopping overnight on the way back from Halong Bay and and an early flight. It was a little worrying as the car turned into a small alley behind the other hotels but friendly welcome and pleasant stay. Large basic room with en suite and air conditioning, left too early for the included breakfast. We had eaten earlier in the evening and not much to do in the area. Taxi to the international airport was about $4. There are very few early morning international flights so no queues but food is expensive once through security. Would stay again in similar circumstances

Plain but excellent low cost room
Very good value. Plain but well run. In walking distance of the international terminal. Impressed me by not charging for small extras when grander hotels ensure every penny is paid.

it is a airport hotel and convient. However they offer to pick you up, which is necessary unless you can speak vietnamize to taxi drivers. You need to tell hotel flight info for this to happen, which they never asked me upfront.

Excellent service, clean, quiet and convenient!
Clean, quiet and convenient airport hotel. We arranged our return bus trip to SAPA and return trip with pick-up and drop-off at the hotel, cost 17usd for 1way with Modern air–conditioning bus with comfortable seats. Be warned the homestay in SAPA - VERY basic but after all of the rice wine, it didn't matter!

Late night arrival en route to volunteering
Friendly staff. I arrived late at night; the taxi took me to the wrong hotel but I found my way. Very tired. Hard to sleep - jet lag, etc. Dogs barked, which contributed to difficult settling down and relaxing. But otherwise the room was just what I needed.

Very, very modest - budget travel
Only a couple of tiny hotels near the Hanoi airport. This is one. Very close, but very basic. Friendly staff, but very modest set-up and located in a back alley. A less adventurous or experienced traveller, esp a solo female, might be very uncomfortable. Shower-toilet-sink combo off of room. Dogs barked all night, but super low rate, so aligns w value.

ok for a night
This hotel was perfect for our need. We arrived at 11 pm and were taking off 6 am the next morning. It is walking distance from airport (no taxi will take you there!). no frills. horrible beds but clean and easy place for a quick sleep.

Do NOT stay here!
I arranged for someone from the hotel to pick me up at the airport. I gave them my arrival time and flight info several days beforehand. There was no driver there for me when I landed so I asked the woman at the information desk to call the hotel and tell them that I had arrived. I had to wait for about half an hour before the driver showed up. Not a huge deal, but also not pleasant when you are tired and hungry and it's getting late. The room itself was fine; spacious and clean, although no hot water (not even warm), and the TV was not working. I slept poorly because the hotel is right on the freeway and there was also construction going on nearby, so it was noisy all night. But worst of all, the next morning when I was checking out I paid 50,000 VND for my room service the night before, and they shorted me on the change! I gave him 500,000 VND and he gave me back 250,000. That means he pocketed 200,000 for himself. They also charged me 60,000 VND for the 3 minute ride back to the airport. One of the reasons I chose this hotel was because it advertised free airport shuttle. All in all, terrible experience at Airport View. I do not recommend staying there.

Hey, it's close to the airport
I took this hotel because I had a overnight layover in Hanoi . If you email this hotel they will pick you for free. The room is basic but my bed was comfortable. There are stall restaurants close to the hotel.

Good for an early get-away.
We wouldn't normally stay in a basic hotel like this, but we were pleased with what it offered. The room was clean and tidy and the bed was comfortable. Hot shower and air con too. It was cheap as well. We stayed because of our 7.00 am flight and the hotel is 5 minutes drive away. Far better than the 1 hour drive from downtown! The hotel staff used the hotel's car to take us there at 5,45.

This hotel is in the middle of a construction area. It was noisy with a rooster crowing and dogs barking. This is a very basic hotel. Adequate for minimum stay. Staff is very friendly and helpful. The advantage of this hotel is that it is 5 minutes to airport. We were concerned about fire evacuation and safety. Only one way out down a spiral staircase. No apparent smoke alarms. Windows had bars. No elevator. Staff was very accommodating.

10 years without see a mop!
We arrived in Hanoi late of the night and since we was going to Halong Bay very early in the next day, nothing better than a hotel close to the airport, right? They didn't had a shuttle (they said was too busy but the hotel was empty) so we got a taxi that drive everywhere but to the hotel. When we finely arrived, what a chock. I think it was the worst place that I ever been (and believe me, I had been in very bad places). Dirty, dirty, dirty. Nice staff, but they barely speak english. To complete the horror scenario, the pollution that night was over 180 (almost nuclear), we couldn't breathe, the AC was disgusting and I was afraid even to touch the pillows. The breakfast... let's just said I didn't touch it. I do not recommend at all and according with what I saw, is better skip the airport surround and go straight to Hanoi. For sure you will find better hotels there. And make sure to have a shuttle waiting for u!

Close to the airport, but you get what you pay for
We needed a hotel near Hanoi airport, this was the only one on Hotels.com. It was very cheap so in reality fair value for money. The staff were so polite, with very limited English but they tried to communicate with us. The food is very limited, but there's no real other options around to walk to. They had eight options only and we had to order as we checked in. However some of hue he options were then not available. Their airport pick up and drop off were good and on time, you pay for one way. The room was clean, but basic however the A/C and can worked as did the fridge. The wifi worked well. The hotel was made better by watching a film on the Internet and a bottle of wine!

Better than we expected
This hotel looks kind of rough from the outside. Its in the middle of a construction zone. Our cab driver called ahead, and a young guy ran out to carry out bags across the road. The room was clean and we slept well. The best part was the staff of young guys, who gave me a free beer and offered for me to share their dinner in the lobby. Breakfast was fried eggs and a baguette, served nice and early as soon as we arrived in lobby. The cab ride to airport in the morning cost 3 dollars. Its not fancy, but we felt safe, it was one minute from the airport, and we had a surprisingly good sleep.

We spent three weeks in Vietnam, staying in many places, but booking a room at this hotel was one of our few regrets. We booked here because we had a very early flight, but it would be much better to spend the night in town and take an early taxi. We ended up in a very dirty room with unclean bedsheets, and were hardly able to sleep because of this.

Very very basic hotel. A bit run down.
The hotel was super basic and in a pretty run down neighborhood. The room was comfortable for an overnight stay, but it was a bit shady getting there from the airport. Granted, I didn't realize Hanoi airport vicinity was so underdeveloped, but don't expect anything close to fancy at this place. Oh, except a flat screen TV with some English channels.

We booked a transfer from Hanoi city through the hotel, but we were taken to a hotel different to the Airport View, with no warning. It looked horrible; more like a taxi depot than a hotel. When we complained, the driver put us through to the owner, who said that the Airport View was full and this was his second property. This is despite a confirmation email the day before. The people told us that the owner has two other hotels to the Airport View and this happens frequently. We would not have had any complaints had the hotel met our basic expectations, but in fact it was a much worse hotel than described on hotels.com. The sheets were disgusting, with dirty sweat marks, and obvious creases that showed that they hadn't been changed since the previous guests. We requested new sheets, and were taken to the linen room to choose replacements; even the sheets there didn't look particularly clean. Overall, we will never book a room at the Airport View again; this is a con, and for the same price, you can get much nicer hotels in Hanoi. We should have spent one more night in town rather than trying to head to the airport for a night to make the transfer easier. This really ruined our night, and it is only because of the many other nights in Vietnam where we have stayed in cheap but wonderful hotels that we will be able purge the thought of this awful hotel from the memories of our Vietnamese holiday. In one word; AVOID!

Good for an overnight due to its close location to the airport. Currently there is lot of construction going on around the hotel because of expansion of the airport and upgrading of the infrastructure in the airport area.

Felt like the owners left their kids to run it!
My husband and I stayed here in April 2014 for 1 night as we had an early flight the next morning. The staff were very obliging but it did kind of feel like they had been left by their parents to run the show! After about an hour of being there there was a powercut which was actually quite amusing. It was total black out apart from a torch shining up the stairs and some car headlights in the reception after they moved the car so they could see what they were doing with the generator! Once they were up and running they did serve us up some rice and soup with some veggies and pork, basic but pretty good. We probably wouldn't stay again but it was handy for our early morning flight and provided us with an extra hour in bed as we didn't have to transfer from central Hanoi.

Great place to spend a night before a flight
Very friendly owner. Clean rooms and bathroom. 5 minute cab ride from the airport. There isn't very much in the surrounding neighborhood but a great place to stay if you have an early flight. One of the better hotels I've seen in this price range.

Cheap hotel, you pay for what you get, it's right outside the airport which can be convenient if you don't want to spend the 1hour drive to the city. But don't expect much good sleep as that is not quite high comfort standards.

Convenient for noi bao airport stopover.
This hotel is only a $2-3 cab ride from Noi Bai airport (about 5 mins drive). Much more convenient than driving into Hanoi for a night. I didn't need dinner whilst I was here - there are a few very local places nearby. And their breakfast is cheaper than at the airport. The bed was comfy, the shower was hotel and the hotel was clean so I was pretty happy. Light sleepers be warned though: the whole place is tiled so it can be quite loud when more guests arrive late at night!

An excellent hotel close to airport
This small hotel is located close to the airport so is perfect if you have a connecting flight the next day. A much better option than the 40 minute drive to Hanoi The hotel is extremely clean and the rooms very comfortable. The staff is so friendly and helpful. There is free wifi and for $2 you can have a pho or western breakfast. Staying here was a great introduction to Vietnam

Could not be happier with my stay!!!!
The hotel staff are so welcoming! I planned to stay for just one night in between travelling but end up staying for 2. The hotel staff are so welcoming i spent most of my time with them. The room was exactly what i needed, quite comfy bed with a very good sized shower room. For the price this hotel is definitely worth it.

Last minute
If happen need stay in last minute from changing planes like myself, was not comfortable in Hanoi at all but at this hotel they treat me like I'm in safe zone and very nice staffs there! But not good neighbors to walk outside for a while, stay inside until depart! ;)

Perfect location for long layovers
The hotel staff was very helpful and so polite. They did everything to make my stay comfortable. I truly felt welcomed. This hotel is by the airport and far from Hanoi. Possibly 20 miles. So it is really good for long layovers and the price is right. Had trouble finding a taxi to take me to the hotel since the distance is so close and most drivers want the longer fare to Hanoi. Make sure and use Noi Bai taxi, about $3-5 USD. Very reasonable. The hotel even arranged for a pick-up for me when departing. Highly recommend.

Hotel close to the airport.
I chose this hotel close to the airport as a friend was arriving late that evening. I had received a confirmation of pick-up at the airport on arrival in the morning. There was no pick-up and no email informing me of jjust that prior to my arrival. The room is basic. The bathroom awful. This hotel is situated in a narrow dusty lane off the main highway to the airport. Building works in the process around the hotel.

A short and good stay at Airport View Hotel
We arrived at the airport at 01.30 am in the morning and needed just a place close to the airport to get there fast and get the hours of sleep we could manage to get before we had to leave at 08:00 am same day. The staff was very kind and helpful, and that was very appreciated arriving at night time with three kids. When contacting the hotel the day before our arrival, they suggested that they should come and pick us up at the terminal for a reasonable prize. And we are happy we took their offer. There was also taxis available at this time at night at the terminal, if you have not arrange with the hotel up front. We were just in the hotel for some hours of sleep, so the rooms were good for our purposes. And the rooms were clean. The only thing to mention is that I found the madrases a bit hard.

IF you have no other choice
This hotel is acceptable for one night if you are forced to stay near the Hanoi Airport as we were for a few hours between flights. The hotel has local standards and would be half the price if it were in the City. Typical of a hotel for locals, the shower is aimed at the toilet. The TV has no international channels. Breakfast is noodle soup which is not included in the price. The staffs were friendly enough, but the location is the only reason for choosing this hotel/

Booked a superior room because the pictures of the standard room restroom looked horrible. Admittedly, the room was a plain room but overpriced for hanoi. Nothing in the area and nowhere to go. Less than 5 min from the airport. No english channels on the tv. Service mediocre and front desk attendant barely spoke english. Food was not good and not included.
