Enjoy the familiar atmosphere of the three star superior Best Western Hotel Der Föhrenhof located in Hannover.
Build in a lower saxony cottage style, the hotel is owned and operated in the fourth generation of the family Ferdinand Bock. Our hotel offers 78 comfortable rooms situated in the quite district Lahe. All rooms show the personal character of the house supported by warm colors and a cozy surrounding.

Choose between our mediterranian restaurant “Estragon“ which offers international cuisine as well as an assorted wine menu, our “Bierstube“ with traditional, hearty lower saxony dishes or enjoy the sunshine on our coffee terrace. Six modern conference rooms offer space for up to 150 seminar participants or 80 persons during individual events.

Our two restaurants “Estragon“ and “Bierstube“ offer diverse culinary delicacies as well as seasonal changing menus to satisfy spoiled palates.
The restaurant “Estragon“with its international kitchen and assorted wine menu has a warm and mediterranian flair. Start your day with our generous continental breakfast buffet and enjoy a weekly changing lunchbuffet on Sundays, reaching from asparagus to Matjes depending on the season.
The pub, traditionally called “Bierstube“, with its adjoining garden terrace and beer garden offers traditional and hearty lower saxony dishes supporting the atmosphere of a traditional German restaurant.
During the summer season the garden terrace presents an idyllic choice for a family BBQ. Look forward to our range of daily changing delicacies and fresh goodies throughout the entire year and seasons.

“Away from the city centre”
Messegelände in Hannover is known for all kinds of big exhibitions - like NEC in Birmingham but bigger. During periods of exhibitions, with great demands for accomodation, be prepared to pay a much higher price for your room than the normal tarif. This hotel is situated away from the city centre in the northern part of Hannover with easy access from the motorway. The exhibition area is in the southeastern part of Hannover. The hotel is a bit old-fashioned and unfortunately built with not enough sound proof material between floors and rooms. Though it is clean, provides good food, good service and has a friendly atmosphere.A convenient tramline has a stop very near the hotel and by tram you are in the city centre in 15-20 minutes. No traffic noise as the hotel is next to a big burial ground.
“First Class Hotel”
This hotel is first class, with all staff and management found to extreemely helpfull and friendly. I will always stay here if possible when visiting Hannover and would without hesitation recommend it to anyone
“We enjoyed our stay, very much.”
I chose this hotel due the to location, near to the main routes but away from the busy city centre. The staff were very pleasent and spoke better English than my broken German. The bedroom and bathroom were both very clean and kept that way through-out our stay. We had an evening in the hotel, the first night we stayed; it was not quantity but the quality which made the meal enjoyable washed down with a few local biers. There was some road noise from the front of the hotel, but this did not stop us getting a sound nights sleep. Tea and coffee facilities are found in the main reception area, and there was a seperate area where you could relax in front of a large WideScreen TV. If I go back to Hannover again in the future, I would certainly use this hotel again. Well done to all the staff for making us feel so welcome.
“nice place to stay”
I was fully satisfied with my stay. Clean and comfortable room and very friendly staff. It was all I needed.
“some issues”
bathrooms was not convenient-small shelves over toilet and sink and everything kept falling off. bathtub very deep and slippery-would not stay again under these conditions.
