“Well worth a visit”

Hotel was more than adequete at the price. The only problem I had was finding the place.Quality Inn was on a sign at the front but the hotel is actually called the Ambassador. There didn't appeear to be any street number displayed. The hotel restuarant was not the greatest. I would not reccommend it.

“The price is right,”

The Hotel is in desperate need of refurbishment, but you get what you pay for and the price is very good. The staff are welcoming and very friendly and I would stay there again as it is in a convenient location and has everything that you would need, would be good if they had sky tv though..

“Not as good as previously”

I have stayed here on a number of occasions. On this occasion I had to swap to 3 different rooms before a suitable room was found. Various issues included, top sheet on bed not clean (marks), heater not working in room, room not properly serviced. Floors Ground & 1 have yet to be refurbished and are of a lower standard than the above floors. If you can cope with this, it is a close & central & plenty of parking. Just a little dated. Newer rooms are ok, but not exceptional.

“The dirtiest hotel in NZ”

We would never reccomend this hotel to anyone. The bathroom was dirty and ingrained with dirt round the taps and soap dish. The bedroom carpet was dirty and torn. All in all it was the dirtiest hotel we have ever stayed in and we have stayed in many places off the beaten track and in many countries over the past 45 years.
