Staircase to the bedroom balcony makes a bathroom trip in the depths of night a precarious adventure but the overall ambience and amenities are delicious . Superbly comfy sofas and French scrabble makes the evenings simple fly by ."

"Very comfortable house in a lovely spot (only slight difficulty is the spiral staircase - which could be tricky for some). Especially good if you like fishing with a beautiful lake right outside the front door. Surroundings are extremely quiet and peaceful with plenty of nice walks in the area. Host’s really nice and friendly and helpful. Would certainly go back."

"The site was a little hard to find after a long day's drive to get there but well situated for food and wine, range of restaurants, shops, etc nearby. Helpful staff who spoke enough English that my rusty French wasn't necessary most of the time. Would definitely stay again. "

"Stayed for 2 weeks in this lovely apartment- part of a classic French property with a garden and private pool. Although secluded the property is less than 10 minutes drive to Brantome with its many good restaurants and market. Some fine walks in the local area as well. Our hosts, Sandra and Alun, were very helpful about places to visit and great company over a glass or two of wine. We cannot recommend this property or location highly enough."

"We had the most wonderful stay at La Petite Mirabelle. Paul and Dawn, our hosts went out of their way to ensure we enjoyed our holiday to the full - nothing was too much trouble. The gite itself was cosy, exceptionally clean and well equipped. The swimming pool, with its amazing views and excellent cover, was the best we have ever experienced anywhere. "We have stayed with extended family and friends including a number of teens, baby and a large dog. Had brilliant time, house well equipped for all ages, pool is large and very well maintained. Extensive grounds with lots of places to relax including my favourite - the hammock! The views are to die for! All very clean and the owners were fantastic, helpful but not intrusive. We had such a lovely time and will come back to continue exploring the area - so much to do!"

"Martine and Alain were very welcoming and they have worked so hard to make the gite a happy holiday place. We were lucky with the weather and were able to be outside all the time - it was an unexpected heatwave! There were lots of lovely eating places in Brantome and Bourdeilles, but you do need to drive. "La Tissonie is great and totally private and in such a beautiful rural location but only 10 minutes from the town of Riberac which has a fantastic market on a Friday. Fred was very welcoming and helpful when we needed to ask a few things. "We had a lovely week at Franck’s property which is in a perfect location, quiet and a short walk to the centre of Riberac. The house is furnished and equipped to a high standard - in fact as there has been some refurbishment including new bathrooms since the listing photos were published it exceeded our expectations.
