There are no elevators in the building. We booked online and when we arrived and checked in I was told our room was upstairs. When I asked where the nearest elevator was, I was told there werent any. One member of our party is handicapped and stairs are very difficult. I asked if there was a room on the ground floor and was told I should have specified that when I booked. I replied that I wasnt aware the hotel wouldn't have elevators. Then was told that there were no ground floor rooms. I asked for a refund, due to no handicap accessible rooms and was told he could not approve a refund. However, I was assured that a refund would be approved. When asked for written assurity, the attendent would not provide. He called the manager and somehow "found" a bigger room on the bottom floor. Being tired, after midnight and not knowing if I would even get a refund if we left, we decided to stay. Upon entering the room, the AC wasn't cooling well, so we lowered the temperature and waited for it to cool. It never did. We called and got a fan from the front desk. Apparently other rooms were hot as well, because we passed a room with the door open to the atrium/pool area. Those travelers were trying to sleep. It was cooler in the hallways than in our room. IF you book this hotel, be sure and get a room with a working AC and be sure to get a room on the ground floor if you have mobility issues. Expedia had no information to that on the app.
