Didn’t have access to key or wifi code on arrival as we arrived after hours. No code was left on the welcome letter and as a result for 2 of the 3 nights stay we didn’t have wifi access. My son also nearly electrocuted after turning off a bedside lamp at the power point. The facilities were clean and nice though.

Dear Kirsty, Thank you for your feedback. We endeavor to improve our service continuously, and as practically as possible. Unfortunately we never had the opportunity to meet you as you never presented yourself at our reception to formally to check-in during your entire stay. As stated on the Late Arrival information sheet, guests who checked in After Hours are to come to reception to check-in and WiFi voucher would be issued then. This policy is for the safety requirement of all guests and other residents in the resort. Nevertheless, a Wifi voucher was delivered to your room after you contacted us over the phone, and the 'faulty' power point as you claimed was checked by electrician and no fault was found. It was a brand new power point. We are unsure of what exactly happened when you say your son was 'nearly electrocuted'. We notice the apartment was very messy with items all over the floor/surfaces. Lights and fans were left on when unattended for the day, which is not appropriate for safety concerns. However we still changed he table light in your son's room for safety precautions. It was a bit different being in an apartment next door to permanent tenants. Would have been helpful to have salt and cooking oil and foil in the kitchen. Otherwise great spot perfect for budget conscious family

This property is certainly not a 4.2 star appartment. The floors and walls were dirty and very run down. The couch was also not overly clean and all three of us felt itchy after sittibg on it.

Nice accommodation for the price but was disappointed that the spa wasn’t hot until the afternoon and once it was it was full of noisy inconsiderate boys that obviously live in the complex who were unsupervised. They also nearly pulled the vending machine over, perhaps some more eyes on what’s happening around the place would be good.

Really had a great stay facilities were great. Only down side the gardner deciding to cut hedges at 7.15am the first morning we were there. Not the early wake up i was wanting. Other than that great stay.

Not what the picture showed ,
We turned up to our accomodation and it was nothing like the picture showed. We understand that these units are privately owned but it was very dated.the kitchen had a broken PowerPoint with no button left to turn switch on or off, the microwave Still had the spaghetti sauce stuck to the roof , kitchen bench was broken and Buckled and the water goes under the sink. The carpet was old and dirty as was the Extra bed that we had. Good location is the only positive thing we can say.

Pelican Cove is a great place to stay in; it's close to the beach, the Theme Parks and shopping, has a nice pool and barbecue area and the reception staff Debbie and Daniella are awesome. The unit we stayed in was not very new but comfortable and it contained everything we needed. We also had a great water view from our balcony. Will definitely return

I stayed here because I have relatives in Southport and over the long weekend it was the only thing available with 2 bedrooms that was in my price range. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Some of the furniture could do with an update but I didnt really spend much time in the unit. Everything worked and was in good order.

Nice Hotel great for families
Absolutely enjoyed our stay. Our boys loved it. Awesome for fishing - Wharf right at your doorstep, beach 2mins walk. Heated pools at night. Apartment was spacious. Staff are lovely. Definitely returning.

Location is great. Close to all the attractions. States there is 2 queen beds in the 3br apartments, however it is only a queen and double. Pictures of the apartments differ from their website.

Comfortable apartment living
Far enough from the hustle and bustle of Surfers to get away from it all, but close enough to commute in to enjoy. Swimming pools, spa, barbecue and tennis court available. A 1minute walk to the harbourside, great beach for the young family.

Apartments are a good size and okay condition. Aircon only in living area though and not adequate to cool the room. No aircon in bedrooms so unbearably hot and uncomfortable. Some apartments are bought by locals, so did not have that 'holiday feel'.

Could be great but....
I stayed at the Pelican Cove for two weeks with my husband and son. The apartment was well proportioned with two bedrooms two bathrooms and a full size kitchen and equipped with everything you need ; washing machine, hair dryer, pots and pans, dishwasher, toaster, microwave oven and so on. The pool and outdoor fasciitis are great too, so theatrically it should have been a great place; However the maintenance is appalling, they do the bare minimum just so to make it look as if they are helping you; a shower screen door fell on my son when he tried to open it, then he was left wth the hot water knob in his hand, the hot water system was set to so high it could cause 3rd degree burns ( I almost burned myself washing dishes) and one of the beds was totally unusable as it had sagged in the centre. After notifying the staff someone came out to fix the shower screen but they didn't actually do anything, no one cared about the hot water temperature and they didn't manage to change the mattress during our 2 weeks there. Really disappointed with the place. It could be really really good if only they weren't so stingy on their maintenance and replaced things which need to be replaced.

Nice, clean accomodation. We would like to stay again for a longer period. As we checked in late and checked out early, the support staff were very friendly and organized. We would happy recommend to family and friends.

Needs a renovation. Door lock changed however remained difficult to use. Roadwork's outside meant that car had to be parked on the street by 7am due to access to secure car park blocked. Rather early start to the day on holiday.

Reception staff was very friendly and helpful. We arrived much earlier than the check-in time and staff was very accommodating and allowed us to check-in. The room we booked was big, clean and comfortable. No issues with location, area was peaceful and we had our own transportation.

Conveniently located close to all the Gold Coast has to offer without being in the middle of hustle, bustle and noise. Supermarkets and restaurants a short drive, or if wanting, walking distance. Broad Water a lovely alternative to the beach and surf. Secure car parking, very friendly and accommodating staff, clean and tidy apartment with very inviting and clean facilities - heated pool and spa, half size tennis court ad BBQ facilities.
