"The overall cleanliness of the hotel was excellent, although the outside seating area could be cleared of used glasses more often. The staff, from reception to restaurant were always polite and helpful as was jousekeeping. We were impressed by management that on awakening after the fire alarm had been been deliberately set off three times during the night, a letter had been slipped under the guests doors apologising for the upset. "
"What a really nice hotel. Location an idyll - sitting next to pond at the front of hotel with glass of wine/beer on nice evening- relaxing. 5 stars. Staff - warm, welcoming, very helpful. (Anthony, Sally, Baba etc...).5 stars. Food great standard again 5 stars. Overall wonderful, quaint, quirky old hotel."
"The lounge bar was rather dirty with the seats and we had to ask for our table to be cleaned at 5pm
Our bathroom was spotlessly clean I thought.
The bedroom carpet was horrible.
I really enjoyed the breakfast choice and the staff at breakfast were great. "

"Our stay was for two nights. This stay was for my wife’s birthday and we went to see our son. I have stayed at this hotel before and it never disappoints. "
