The resort is in a prime location, close enough to everything but far away enough for some quiet time, right across from the ocean. Staff are incredibly nice and helpful, the breakfast was consistently great and the overall experience was great for the price point.

Great place for a couple of nights. Ok restaurant but the coffee isn’t so good. Great location. The hotel is undergoing some work and once that’s finished it will be even better. Highly recommended. Staff is amazing.

Great hotel only a 10 minute walk from the center so quiet at night. Perfect lounging by the pool or on the lounge chairs on the beach. Great little restaurant that overlooks the beach. Water is beautiful turquoise and beach is nice white sand. Breakfast included which was great. Very friendly staff. Room very big and comfortable. Would totally recommend.

Island Paradise
We are a family of 6, so were pleased there was a 4 bed Villa. Lovely setting, everything we needed and functional. Gili T is a stunning island. The Trawangan is sited directly in front of the main surf break. We had a surf and were pleased to watch others surf each morning at the breakfast area on the beach front. Stunning. The service staff at this hotel are Best in Class. Nothing is too much trouble and every request is met with a smile. We would definitely stay at The Trawangan again.

Comfy place to relax.
Great place to stay. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Private pool was great. Dining and drinks on the beach - can't beat that. Decent selection on the menu and the food was yummy. Prices fair for a resort area. The resort is at the south end of the island so it is nice and quiet. The "center" of town near the ferry dock is full of party bars. So if you're a young person looking to party, that's where to be. If you're on the island because you want to get up early and go swimming, snorkeling, scuba diving, or anything else, stay at Trawangan and get a good sleep.

Breakfast was horrible, Earthquake damage, construction in front, some unsafe conditions. lots of bites from inects and blood stained sheets lead me to believe they might have bedbugs. They said the checked and didnt find any but We all got bit like crazy.

The two bedroom villa was very spacious and the staff were great. It’s a 10min walk to the centre of Gili T however bikes were easy to get.

Nice hotel. Excellent staff. Shower wasn't very powerful and green water came out of the bathroom tap one day. But we loved it! In the nicest part of the island and about a 10 min walk to the sunset beaches.

Pools and facilities were good apart from the bed. Bed was uncomfortable. Good shower pressure. Be prepared to take a horse and cart if you have luggage. 10 minute walk into the main strip of shops.

Great view poorly maintained
Great check in and room looked good. But a toilet didn't work and after 4 days still wasn't fixed, with no sign that it would be. The wifi was spotty and poor, tv reception sporadic and beds thin. They asked us to hand in our room keys when leaving for the day and when we did they lost them, had to chase down housekeeping to give us theirs. Didn't replace water each day and 1 day didn't clean the room at all. When we went to check out, they checked out the wrong room despite having the keys with the room number on them.. All up lovely to look at but needs to improve.

Great location.
Great small hotel in an excellent location. Friendly helpful staff. Food was really good too. Located just out of the main strip which meant it was quiet when we wanted it to be but a few minutes walk and we were amongst the bars and restaurants. Surf straight out the front beyond a reef which protected the beach was great for our 4 year old to paddle around. 10 minutes walk, or a few on a bike, away from town and there are many beach bar/restaurants to watch the sunset. Would thoroughly recommend Trawangan Resort.

Lovely resort just away from main hustle and bustl
We stayed for 2 nights with our 2 teenage kids. The rooms were perfect for us. The staff were all fantasic and the breakfasts included were lovely. Would highly recommend.

We stayed over Christmas and was very happy with the resort. A pool in the middle of the complex was small but big enough as the beach is only the other side of the road. The food in the bar was fantastic. Bit of a walk to the main strip on the island and its dark at night but plenty of horses / carts and tourists about to feel safe!

Great Hotel and Amazing Staff
The hotel was relatively quiet even in busy season so it was peaceful but close enough to the Main Street that you can get there quickly. The villa was amazing. It was very comfortable (air conditioning worked great and bed and amenities was very nice) and very clean and the staff were incredibly friendly and made the stay even nicer. The beach was peaceful with a lot of room and not difficult to get a chair and the restaurant for breakfast was delicious with plenty of options. Overall I'd definitely stay here again if I come back and would recommend this place to anyone if they want a nicer hotel/Resort then just a simple homestay on the island.

The rooms are worn out, there are loads of broken things. Not well maintained. There was no hot water. Lots of flies. The swimming pool was green and they poured a ton of chlorine, so it was then very smelly and we couldn't swim at all.

Hotel is nice and fairly new, it's about a 15-20 minute walk from the boat port so I don't reccomend walking it especially if it's during the day with the heat! The hotel overall was very nice, the front desk staff were very rude and didn't have a clue what they were doing, took us about 40 minutes to check in due to no common sense. They also charged my card $30 for a broken kitchen drawer handle that I reported within 5 minutes and did not break. Wouldn't stay here again, stay closer to the boat port for half the price and hopefully nicer front desk staff.

Stayed here for four nights in August. It's a great little place. Location is perfect - being on the south of the island, it's away from the crowds on the east side, but still and easy walk/bike to restaurants, bars, sunsets etc. We had a two room villa, which was great - especially the private pool, and the fact that the fridge always kept well-stocked with cold Bintang. There are smarter resorts on Gili T, but they gave prices to match and the Trawangan was definitely good value. Wifi is terrible, but hey, you're on a tropical island - you can put the phone away. Overall, recommended.

I was there for work and there was a full day WiFi interruption. I asked to speak to management a few times regarding this issue, but the manager was never available. Staff later tried to make amends, but I still never got to speak with a manager. For the price, the service should have been better overall. I've stayed in a total of 4 hotels on the Gili Islands and service at this hotel was the worst. The room itself was nice, though, and I like that the safe was laptop compatible.

1. Fronts are kind and humorous. When I arrived here, the front told me "Put down your luggage, it's your HOLIDAY.". It's nothing but common, but his word made me feel really relaxed and sinking into my holiday. 2. Room was already cool. they had got ready for me with air conditioning and ceiling fan. 3. Private pool in the villa is clean. 4. Refrigerator is fully filled with Bintang Beer. It's not free, but I feel calm by just looking at it. My best trip ever before.

We stayed for 3 nights on our honeymoon, it was all very nice! There were some good breakfast options and the location was really good, quiet but still within easy walking distance of all the bars and restaurants, the gili Islands were amazing I would recommend them to anybody, we hired snorkel stuff and swam with turtles in the Coral reefs, the hotel wasn't quiet as luxurious as what you get for you money in Bali but still incredibly reasonable

A realist's perspective
Overall it's a nice place with a secluded (but unswimmable) beach out front. Don't stay here if you want to use the restroom or shower indoors. Don't plan on hanging out by the pool either, as it's shoved in the back of the hotel and isn't very nice. At the end of the day you should be able to get more for your money in Gili T. The staff were very nice though.

Located on the opposite end to the party scene this hotel is perfect for those who are looking to chill out moreso than party. You can hire a bike and ride to main town to party or the other direction for the sunsets. would stay again.

A bit disappointing
We stayed at the Trawangan Resort just 3 nights ago and unfortunately it was disappointing. The room was quite expensive for Bali accommodation and yet our experience was average. On the up side we had lovely views of the pool and across the road to the restaurant and beach, however the rooms and bathroom were not clean. There was mould on the tiles and the shower didn't look like it had been scrubbed in months. The pool was nice however there were no deck chairs for hotel guests to enjoy the pool and we had to go across the road to the beach if we wanted to lay in the sun (unfortunately it was very windy during our stay so the beach wasn't all that enjoyable). The staff seemed uninformed and in general were fairly unhelpful. I was told on checkout when paying my bill that they had no change and that I would have to have the exact amount (I suspect they were hoping I would give them a tip). When I suggested they get me some change from their restaurant, they seemed put out. Overall not our best Bali hotel experience and we will not be staying again or recommending....sorry!

Loved this hotel! We had one of the rooms at the front & it was huge! The location is great - just a short walk from the main restaurants but also 10 mins from the main spot to watch the amazing sunsets. The view for breakfast was unbeatable & the staff were all really lovely. Definitely would stay again.

Not worth the high price
Cons: -filthy yellow water flowing out of the bathroom sink. When we asked the reception to fix it they just let the tap run for a few minutes till the dirty water ran out. Not acceptable. -Room was pretty basic with not much furniture -Hotel staff did not help us secure bicycles (typically on Gili, bicycles are complementary so the least we expected was for the reception to arrange 2 for us and charge us) -Noone picked up the phone at any time of the day when we called them from the room for fixing the tap or sending up water or for any enquiries. Pros: -breakfast is served right on the beach which was an amazing experience. -the included breakfast was a decent spread and restaurant staff and ambience was good. -hotel and the pool looks picturesque Conclusion: for a similar price you can stay at other nearby hotels which seemed to have better facilities and services so choose them.

Nice accomodation to the beach
This is a nice accomodation on the beach front! It is close to all the restaurants yet not in the crowded part, so nice and quite at night with only the sound of slamming waves. Further the pool was good and room in reasonable good condition! Only negative remark is the slight occasional smell from the shower drain and that it was in times weird to figure out the light switches, other than that no comments.
