Leipzig Airport (LEJ): Approximate driving time to pentahotel Gera is 60 minutes and distance is 70 kilometres (44 miles).
Getting there: Airport Express trains runs every 30 minutes from the airport train station to Leipzig main station. The journey takes 15 minutes, and single ticket is €3.40. From here trains connect to Gera station which is 1 kilometre from the hotel. A 24-hour bus service also runs to the main station in Leipzig. A single ticket is €4.60. Taxis wait outside Terminal B and cost around €85 to the hotel. Alternatively the hotel can arrange airport transport (surcharge). All prices subject to change.
Driving directions: From the airport, take the A9 in the direction of Munich. At Hermsdorfer Kreuz, take the A4 in the direction of Dresden. Exit at Gera-Langenberg, take Siemens Street and continue straight on towards the city centre. Turn right just before the OAK building into Theatre Street. After the first set of traffic lights, turn right into Joliot-Curie Street where the hotel is located.
Getting around: The best way to explore Gera is by bus or tram, which are free of charge to hotel guests. Tram number 1 stops 50 metres from the hotel. The region is well-connected by fast and inexpensive train services.
